Is PNB selling this company as part of the GLC divistment exercise? Insurance company need capital to survive and expand. I am not sure what PNB is going to do with this company too small for thier portfolio. Better to divest but who would be the buyer?
why no ballz to buy? it has higher revenue & PAT than that of LPI and Takaful. Vs Allianz, MNRB's PAT Margin is relatively higher. As an accountant, I always look at 4 things namely Sales growth, PAT growth, EPS and PE Multiple. For Fund Managers, thay are particular abt capital growth (of course this also depends on the 4 factors which I've juz pointed out) & Dividend Yield. MNRB has all the right ingredients and price so low compared to her peers! Some Analyst said scared of Govt's new Islamic Finance Policy will affect MNRB business. But I always think politically will they dare to hurt their own rice bowl considering that MNRB is actually a state-owned Company?
this time ready downfall. As per RHB they didn declared dividend this year due to bad performance in Takaful. This weak financial will be continouns for next 5 years.
gark, can u read the RHB report, or can u see the price target in this website. RHB already this year no dividend paid out. That y the share price dropping like hell.
Agree with 'kakijudi' - MNRB's fundamental still intact. Price decline is temporary. Their full year profit still commendable eventhough 4th Qtr results were not that great - am sure 1st Qtr there will be surprise - just a hunch !
MNRB have not paid such high dividend for many years. The last time they paid a dividend higher than this financial year was 6 or 7 years ago, after they disposed of MOX and made a huge profit. I think they are trying to use up all their tax credit before it expires end of the year.
