HDBS to disposal Cambodia banking business for usd 40 million that mean hdbs can receive another rm120 ++ million of cash . After disposal Hwang investment bank . HDBS will fully with cash . That mean HDBS shareholder sure will receive a special dividend ... Yeah !!
No longer waiting dy . The announcement will come out within a month or before 2013 december . Affin already say will acquire and transfer all the business before 2014 jan . Tjlim waiting long is better than waiting long and lose money counter .
HwangDBS enter exclusivity Agreement with Affin Holdings Berhad with a view to dispose off its equity interest in the Bank, HwangIM, HDMF and AIIMAN. Which if successful the HwangDBS will be left with its remaining business of moneylending and commercial banking in Cambodia. However, Hwang have on last Friday announce it also disposed off its entire stake in commercial banking in Cambodia for RM 128m (USD 40m) + office tower for 82.5m, Hwang will left not core business to sustain listing status, and will likely adopt delisting with capital repayment.
No . Is too far .. Arvin no need to attend AGM , hdbs will pay u the dividend once they finish disposal the business to affin . If get the approval from BNM the price will go to 4.50dy .
Yes .. WIWANGWANG what you say is correct . This stock can't go up just because of this approval announcement . Many investor worry about hdbs can't get the approval from BNM then the deal will drop . So I think this Monday the price sure will go up .
Fatty tang don't worry about this . Only the cash get from disposal office building n Cambodia commercial banking already worth rm1 . So if following recently banking sector merge price . HDBS at least can get around rm4.50. The important message in this deal is 100% complete with CASH . .. .. ..
Affin deal = 1100 million (affin deal is calculated at lowest end 1.2x book value) Disposed Cambodia bank = 128 m Disposed uilding sold = 82.5 m Other building carry in book, value at original cost 1993-2001) = RM 38.86m
Remaining sole business is only HDM capital, which is moneylender, credit financing and investment holding) value at PE 10x of latest Q1 PBT RM 4.6m (RM 4.6m x 4 quarter x PE 10x = RM 185m)
Total 1534.36 mil
Based on outstanding shares 255.15m
Total cash received/share is at least RM 6.01, provided HDSB under full liquidation and delist
Let's guess tomorrow HDBS share price will go to how much ?? Hehe .. Anyway wish all the ppl who bought this share before Huart ar .. .. Happy Chinese new year !!!
HDBS only intend to distribute RM 2.50/share after sell its major contributor, Investment bank and stock remain listing. Therefore, no much goodies available
Yes, the calculation still hold at more than RM 6.00 provided Hwang liquidate and delist. But, now Hwang only opt to payout half of the proceed to shareholder and intend to maintain listing status......In total, Hwang intrinsic value is still more than RM 6.00, as after the selloff of it investment bank, after payout special dividend RM 2.50/share it still retain some of the building + proceed from Cambodia commercial bank + moneylending business and net cash RM 1/share
The total deal is worth RM 1.36bilion, about 47% or RM679m of the cash proceed will payout to shareholder as special dividend, the remaining cash proceed will payoff its exiting borrowing, and reserve fund RM 250m (RM 1.00/share) for new venture business. The whole deal, exclude Hwanag property assets + Cambodia commercial bank + moneylender business, which in total worth about another RM RM2.00 /share
Guys im new here. I still not quite understand on the whole dividend calculation. Let say the share price now is 4.00 with special dividend offering 2.50, would it still worth to hold the shares as long as your cost is lower than 2.50?
Of course, if your cost is RM 2.50, you definitely need no worry at all, the special dividend RM 2.50 essentially payback to you while you still can hold HDBS share which still have RM 1.00 net cash per share + moneylender business and some properties and cash proceed from disposal of Cambodia bank, worth total another RM 2.00 per share
Current selling is mainly because of fail that HDBS will fail under PN17 after it dispose its core business.....To me, i 'm disappoint that HDBS still wan to retain its listing status, as after its sell its core business and commercial bank, HDBS only left with money lending business....and intend to use its net cash RM 1/share to venture into another new business....!!?? I'll prefer if HDBS to go through fully liquidation and payout all cash proceed to shareholder, worth around RM 6.00/share
