When they say the vaccine will be given out free, it means that the government will bear the cost on behalf of the consumer. The cost borne by the government will be
- cost of acquiring the vaccine (COVAX, SINOPHARM etc..)
- cost of bottling the vaccine (Duo, Pharma)
- cost of distribution (MSCM, etc..)
- medical equipment - i.e. PPE, syringes, needles (also your Pharma companies)

Theoretically, when a vaccine is announced and acquired you can expect an influx in $$$

Some people here never use logical thinking.
If the vaccine is free, then government would use government-linked companies like Dpharma for fill-and-finish.
Dpharma is a listed company, will it give the vacinnes to government free-of-charge?

Ehh ? Ppl think these companies r vaccine manufacturers? The vaccine will arrive and distributed by them for sure . Ppl mentioned about bottling , packaging etc... really? U know how sensitive To handle these vaccine without proper facility ? Think about the handling expenses and profit margin per bottle or controlled price x number of vaccines and share among a few pharma companies in Malaysia. Good luck

Vaccine is a huge expense this round.


Gov will cater a near 80mil for the Covid-19 to come into Malaysia.

This alone can't cater to half populations of us.

Anyway, Covid-19 will boost Malaysia economy by a 4billion fiscal spending next year.
