The down definitely not done by retailers. Retailers will not able to make such as mess. I personally believe fund managers are rushing and fighting with each other to get out of the game.
Overwhelming demand, Yes. Was in the past and environment change since 3 months ago. Data has supported this fact.
skyrider regrets to sell cheap and tries to talk bad abt TS. Let us ask him why does he bother to still be here if not interested? That is obvious he wants to buy back cheaperbut panic already so buying now today. Learn from yr mistakes, never sell good shares but accumulate more at any lower prices.
Demand of renewable energy like solar is growing. This cause everyone jump into this business. Short term they are over supply. Now everyone started to reduce production, some even close down completely. For me, it is not a bad news at all. The incompatitive player will be flush out, until the supply and demand is balance again. Sooner the price will also recover. Take how long, maybe 1 month or few months. As long as TS stay in business, the production engine will run full speed again. I am neutral if you have different view point.
actually just one question i keep ask myself... if solartech is aiming to sell TS solar product to taiwan then china which profit margin is lower... then solartech can invest in it own factory in taiwan rather than invest in malaysia... they set up in malaysia for 2 reason that i know of... one better margin due to less price war in SEA... second can export to EU/USA easier due to no anti dumping policy apply...
If you know anything about solar markets tou would know that solar tech is a completely different market ! I have no idea why you compare these other companies they are in different countries and have none of the advantages that Tek Seng have ie currency week therefore cheap to buy from overseas , Green incentives from MIDA Malaysian government which allows for refund of expansion costs that they are just completing and then tax incentives on there sales if that is not enough then they have access to the purest silicone supplies in the world which are in Sarawak so are paid for in local currency ! NO IMPORT CURRENCY COSTS !
AGAIN LIKE I SAID DO YOUR RESEARCH AND LOOK AT FUNDERMENTALS INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING.
In response to the chinese article above addressing a slow down in Taiwan markets and Chinese market.
It is obvious that you are not aware that these two countries and any Solar companies located in these countries are banned from selling into the North American countries and therefore rely on domestic and European markets only for which they have additional taxes in the European market as there is no free trade aggreement. Tek Seng has no such limitations and is free to trade with all countries including China and Taiwan. Again I do not know why you are comparing Tek Seng with Taiwan and China as they are not Equal !!!!!!!
In addition to the above it should be noted that as Great Britain made the wonderful decision to Brixet it will allow Tek Seng to sell to Britain with no European Taxes ! Another advantage for Tek Seng as Malaysia already has a trade agreement with Britain but was subject to tax tarrifs due to Britain being part of the useless EU !
I should know I am British and negotiate the trade agreements.
And now I see Mohd Fahmi Bin Jaes posts SOLAR TECH ENERGY results BUT NOT TEK SENG results they are a different company located in another country ! That is like comparing Ryani Air results with Air Asia and then selling Air Asia because of the bad results with the other airline ! Just as well you sold your shares as you have no idea what you are doing.
No two seperate companies Solartech BHD is a subsidery of Tech Seng, independant of both Tech Seng and Taiwan therefore only based on Malaysian company performance. Best way to give an example is Air Asia India and Air Asia Malaysia independent companies if one fails the other is unaffected. This is business how it has been done for hundreds of years.
Everyone is mis undertanding Solar tech Taiwan is a different market and is paying corporate tax to the Taiwan government nothing to do with Malaysia on top of that Malaysia can sell panels to the USA and Taiwan can not ! That is one of the key reasons Taiwan company sales have slowed they have restricted market.
I used to work for Virgin group this was also standard practice say Virgin Airlines went bankrupt it would not affect Virgin Media or the other 100 or so companies in Virgin group as they are independent seperate accounts etc etc
Prospects are excellent due to the future increased demand from the new Paris Climate accord 200 countries have to spend 100 billion us dollars a year buying Solar panels and wind turbines HOW CAN THEY FAIL TO MAKE MONEY ?
I think ppl still confuse about the structure here.... Ok ts solar is a subsidiary own by both 1)Taiwan solar tech 2) tekseng..... By study both Tekseng report and solar tech report I found, ts solar financial report is included in tekseng with PVC and all in quarter report...but TS solar earning is NOT included in the monthly profit of solar tech....it only show in other segment in ANNUAL report under other subsidiary.... Which solar tech have other subsidiary.... But TS solar seems to be among the good one...... In simple word, ts solar is share by tekseng and solar tech..... Tekseng is small diversify company(solar and pvc etc)who own a solar factory TS solar with solar tech and TS solar performance affect tekseng greatly because tekseng is smaller.... Solar tech is a huge solar company who produce solar product mainly in Taiwan sell to China who also invest in TS solar.... But TS solar is small in comparison with solar tech.... So the earning contribution of TS solar is small to solar tech because it have own big solar company in Taiwan and other smaller solar factory..... Conclusion is.. I think performance of solar tech really does not indicate the performance of TS solar( the mainland and other subsidiary perform badly but TS solar good).....but TS solar performance really affect tekseng greatly..... Pls read the Udn link very carefully, apart from mentioning that TS solar is delay in expansion, they also keep mention TS solar is perform at full power at that moment.... And TS solar have better margin.... Finally I suggest you all can study into solar tech annual report in Chinese if you want... Then you will realize TS solar just a small part of solar tech....
As far I know from the explanation from Kelvin and the comment from British; TS fundamental is remain same as now, only growing speed might slower. Estimate of eps 17 to 19 are unchange for this year.
world is really moving forward to solar energy and other renewable energy.... solar industry is facing downturn as every other industry... it is always cyclical..now they facing downward pressure is mainly due to over production to chase china subsidy policy before 30 june... and malaysia we have few advantages for being a SEA country, higher profit margin, easy asses to local market and not bound to US anti dumping policy... by looking at the bigger picture i believe Tekseng have a bright future...
