calvin, i suggest u to buy now instead to talking it down so u can grab cheap. good deals don't come by often otherwise u won't even bother to comment so much here.
ha....... even deutsche and well farco banks faced with law suits rebounded. TS just some retrenchment being painted a hopeless counter. Funny isn't it.
this company is not a gimmick one. u can check back its years of history how the directors/management bringing the company to continuous growth to date. the selldown was due to a retrenchment of 200+ workers and sending its price down 20%+ so for value investor, this is an opportunity to grab cheap than its previous market price. i don regret to grab more at such price.
“TS Solartech recently announced the retrenchment of 180 operation staff recently hired on contract, who were on probation employment, and this is out of a total of 400 hired during that period. The affected staff were also offered alternative employment in another factory of the group,” she shared.

Wahaha,
I think you better go study "IFCA" thread carefully. The pattern of goreng up is similar. As TSeng has Taiwan owners I think they might just fold up and leave you stranded later. Last time Taiwan owners just disappeared from a Malaysian listed company without a trace!
calvin, u cannot relate another example to TS because their business nature and the terms of venture are varying. Does not matter to me, i'm only a value investor and i like TS's solar business so i invest into it. Any lower price, i will buy in rounds. Time will show whether u are right/wrong.

Because their business nature is different?
This is the most expensive notion to entertain.
How many in IFCA thought the same because of GST?
Why people you solar heater?
To save money on electricity. But since Crude Oil has fallen so low the necessity for alternate energy has eroded.
And with massive overproduction coupled with weak sales TSeng is facing a triple whammy.
electricity grid rates charged to consumers in any particular countries are dictated by the governments of that country. The world economies are slowing down and governments have to raise taxes to sustain its own economies and unforeseen expenditures. WHat does IMF said today abt the global economy? if that's what u like to talk facts and all that.
my 2 cents advice to u, invest like a real businessman and seeing the bigger picture as a whole. if u don hav money to buy, it's better to back out. only people ready to pay will snap up the shares and wait.
Demand for solar quite slow for this period but it will be strong in 2017.china has driven the price down and will surely cut their production to avoid severe damage.for demand no worries...solar gonna be mainstream.when the price is dirt cheap, everyone will turn to solar energy.look for potential but if you are short term trader better sell lah
let me tell u why i'm confident to buy despite the retrenchment news broke out. First is the ringgit currency will depreciate further due to political factors and it will only make a u-turn after election which is still far away so this is good for exporter like TS. This is to the extent of foreseeable future thus TS can do their fx hedging accordingly. Secondly, it's still normal to have orders fluctuate to some extent due to weak global economies but solar panels and related products are still going strong and TS can export its products to US/Europe unlike solar panel manufacturers in China/Taiwan that are banned to export into those continents. Unless foreign trade policies are to be changed in the US otherwise i will remain invested in TS.

Energy rate determined by Govt?
This is not sustainable.
Every thing depends on market forces. If Govt keeps energy in high price its industries will suffer as they cannot compete & Govt will fall.
So Solar will only be a good alternate source of energy if crude oil rises above US100 a barrel.
there are many possibilities if u are in a country with lots of land masses around. Singapore will never able to do large scale renewable projects. TS can have more downstream ventures instead of manufacturing solar panels for export markets. Do not be short sighted on other aspects of a business entity.
hahahahaha u hav no TS shares but talking it down for wat? even u hav TS shares also u won't tell or u might buy because obviously with ur strong debateable participation here it shows that TS has garnered your interest.
Interesting now. How low will it go? Internal forces is -ve (retrenchment). External forces is -ve. Glut in demand. Only thing tht could cool off and stabilize is coming quarter report show equal or better performance than last. If this quarter is lower than before,, all kaput and hell break loose here. Take care guys. I was ah seng die hard fans. Now staying at sideline to watch and wait.
think yourself and if u feel that u don't have adequate knowledge, go learn from better individuals and read research. Don't be scared off by naysayers. You encountered obstacles, find out the opportunities and not afraid of it otherwise u won't make a difference in your life and more importantly your investment/business.
