10 million units sold upto time of this post. They have finished and are out. Now left the retail to suffer the brunt. Further fallout when T+3 about to kicks in. 9th April and 24th April would be dates to watch for.
Hovid just sold their Indian biz for more than RM17 million...fresh with capital...can do wonders to their bottom line and finance fresh biz expansion :-)
new high cannot be achieved. 50sen is the top. all left is retail investors which is way way more than 3 months ago. play share cannot look at technicals. look at what is happening in the world.
if greece defaults on imf tomorow, worldwide markets will be in turmoil and Hovid? Well, drop lah. if greece cannot satisfy EU anymore, then same story.
only thing going for BURSA is the net inflow because those fella are diverting funds from europe because of greece for the time being.
if greece ok liao, all money flow back to europe. Die HOVID again.
both situations bad for BURSA and HOVID.
I heard, that analyst going to come out with report again...couple or few days soon, instruction from Mr. Ho and Mr. Goh.
In todays senario (as people become smarter from the mistakes and fingers lost in the past decade), there are 2 things you have to remember about the business world.
1) Rights Issue is a big no-no and bad for the company. Why? Because only non-performing or sub-standards one ask for it. Great companies can generate CASH from profits quick and fast to go into new business, many don't.
2) The gold standard nowadays, if a company wants to do something, lets not talk about millions, you talk billions. RM25 million cant even get you a big plot of industrial land or high tech machineries.
Stii trying hard to search? oklah, I give it to you easy. Below are the total debt obligations that have to be repaid by greece from 2015 to 2020, all in USD
typical investor play share investor mentality, lack real world business exposure with kuaci level job experience.
at least you have should said something about points 1) and 2) in the previous post. not mentioning it tells me alot about you.
worst you seem to read only analyst reports. tell me, what is the utilisation level of Hovid? What is utilisation? Tip: Analyst don't know, because they are just finance graduates.
Ppl who don't know always harp about x times PE, x time EV, all these methods conjured up by finance ppl who do not know operations. All putting the finger in the air and make numbers.
"Lets stick to basics first...as still too early to divert from it...:) " Is that the best answer for a claimed "long term investor"? Isn't that myopic vision?
I feel so sorry for the retail investors who are still earnestly waiting for the FDA approval. They think that is the key for Hovid's big time SUCCESS.
How can it be a SUCCESS when Patent holder is Carotech lah.
It GlaxoSmithKline were to say, hey I buy it from you for USD 1billion, they are going to pay carotech lah. The question is who holds the rest of the 70% of carotech?
TIP. Go look for the boss who runs Pahang if you want to know the answer.
As Hovid just reach a new high, it will be looking/testing for an actual support line, before knowing where it headed. For now, the trend is still on bull side.
Pearlwhite, looks like you know quite abit about what's going on. Why don't you tell us small investors what you know in plain language instead of just feeling sorry for us? We'll be ever so grateful.
Please unlighten all of us on the patent issue as I don't have that knowledge and half of my eggs is in it. Please share with us more as I agree with all your ponits. Thanks in advance.
this is how typical long term investor consoles himself - average entry of 21sen. That is how they console themselves. Not the best way to make money unless Hovid is a Dutch Lady. Do you know what is this Dutch Lady syndrome? I'm sure you don't know.
Here is the true story.
Way back in 1991, there was this investor who invested RM300k in Dutch Lady shares.
When he sold off in 2013, i.e. 20 years later (along the way bonus shares given etc), he got RM1million, so in theory profit RM700k.. He was so happy and shared his story to the investment community.
Little did he know, if he had invested rm300k in FD since 1991 and exited in 2013, the amount he would have got from FD was RM1.05 million. The FD gave him RM50k extra over his share profit.
In my mind, long term investor means getting lower returns than FD.
1) Is it true that Sanofi's contract is completed? Is there not an extension?
2) When will your new bid for tender yield results? I.e. investors want to see when this "new revenue" utilise the 70% capacity. When? 2017? 2018? Are the margins for these contract similar to Sanofi's?
Those of you familiar with medical outsourced manufacturing, it is a very competitive market and typically you win tenders by being the cheapest. So margins are really "shit", worst than phamarniaga.
3) Clarify which patents belong to hovid and carotech and identify which one is under FDA review.
Pearlwhite, can u give the example of person invested in digi 300k in 2002 n keep long term until now compared to those kept the same amount in FD. Why must you specific only to dutch lady. I'm just learning. Tq.
Pearlwhite, i found that ur calculation is mistake ... 300k of FD from 1991 to 2013 = 300K X21 X 4%=250,000 , 300 +250 K =550K , SO pls dont simply tembak , if u dont know about bank system , dont simply spoil the forum here and go back to sleep ,thanks
Shrekk , if u buy DIGI 300k , by 2002 , Digi price is rm3 per unit , 300,000 k , you may buy 100lot.. Digi shoot up to RM30 by year 2010 , and split 1 to 10 ... so your lot become 1000 lot , not digi is RM6.45 per unit , u may get 6,45 x 1000000 = 6450000 <6.45 million > , and dividend per year RM400 X 100 X 13 years = RM520,000. U dont ask Pearlwhite because he is a foolish, he just a new learn , and stupid like a pig ,,,,,he dont know anything and dont know abt Digi
I remember in 1997, interest rates were 9%? No? No compounding? I also remember, the adjusted price of Digi after taking into account bonuses and etc. was 22 sen in 2002? Go back to school and learn share price re-adjustment lah.
thank you for proving my point. I thought you would have gone to the patent office to get the info.
Carotech is the owner, and whoever buys that for USD1 billion, pays carotech. I don't think that the major shareholder (not David Ho by the way) would to give 30% away to Hovid for taking up all the risk.
Would the major shareholder produce it and sell it cheap to Hovid or do it themselves?
Read the lines cafefully to see who owns what?..."The pharmaceutical company (i.e. Hovid) does not produce tocotrienols but owns the formulation patent that facilitates the absorption of tocotrienols by the human body. It would be sourced from its phytonutrient production arm, Carotech".
Second question: Ms Pearlwhite, why do u suddenly appear today? Why you don't bother to appear here advocating us on those so-called hovid weaknesses when the share price is way below 40cts as example a year ago. Suddenly when the price strike yesterday, you suddenly came on board. I'm really puzzled. Pls help to clarify as we believe that u're sincere helping n saving us. I'm just learning. Tq.
this pearlwhite dont do joking here lah.. alamak.. you wan make people sell and you collect quietly is it? hahahahahhaa.. hovid need new tender? hovid is direct supplies to more than 50 countries, pharmacy shop, and even local hospital, 1 malaysia clinic. you ada pergi hospital ambil medicine atau tidak? if not dont simply comment lah.. hovid order is already too much until they cant produce more only they expand their production. you think people will built empty plant and only start thinking where to get business? that must be YOUR OWN business plan. poor you.
If you did analysis detail about hovid, then you only give comment lah.. tolong.. patent or not patent not important, they are selling generic medicine, its doesn't need patent at all.. lucu la you.. you tau apa generic atau tidak? teruk teruk ini pearlwhite.
about long term investment. if you beli digi 10 year ago. now every year take 100% or more return. apa tak baik ? FIX DEPOSIT kasih ka?
HOVID ini long term memang baik ! banyak lagi pattern ubat company lain akan expired then hovid can produce them. .. they are doing export business, USD up also tidak apa..
just wait and see, hovid sekarang correction sahaja saya rasa.. when it hit 0.50, 0.60 you jangan nangis hahaha..
pearlwhite baca lah sikit baru comment.. jangan suka suka cakap pattern ini sana.. apa pasal dengan carotech lagi?? itu cerita lama sudah lah.. u faham apa beza pattern dan generic atau tidak? aiyooo yooo
From Annual report 2014 of hovid.
On the global arena front, the healthcare industry is among the most dynamic and speedily growing industries. Many countries across the globe are facing challenge to deal with the rapidly escalating cost of healthcare. With aging populations, an increase in chronic ailments spending, government programs to expand access to healthcare, coupled with some heavy government debts and constraints on tax revenue, more countries are trimming their healthcare spending, health authorities are switching from the expensive patented medicines to the cheaper generic equivalents. On top of that, RM422 billion of prescription and pharmaceutical drug patents are about to expire in the next 10 years. This will open up an attractive global market opportunity for the Malaysian generics exports and allows Hovid, the Malaysia’s largest exporter of independent branded generic drugs manufacturer with global presence, to aggressively participate in this global shift, expand its sales and become a major player in the region’s healthcare arena.

Pearlwhite.. perlu tender lagi tak? hahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa jangan sikit sikit tender.. ini bukan main rasuah lah.. aiyo.. tidak perlu under table punya..
I really believe Ms Pearl white is very sincere to help and saving us from this poor company. Thank u very much on your valuable effort and insights. If I'm your father I must be very grateful and lucky to have a daughter like you. Your mum must also be proud of you. Thank you ya my hero...
