That was exactly why I mentioned on Dec 31st NOT to dwell too much unto the land price acquisition. There are some info that can't be divulged on this forum. I would suggest to keep acquiring more warrants or even mother shares.

This is my concern as a new project will not get approval so soon especially APDL control by federal whereby ewein very good relationship with state government
In fact their COD project was started on applying the APDL since 2013 but due to land title issue and APDL approval stuck with federal government fir almost 12 months...they just can start to sign SPA last few month (delay for about 2 years)
the company is making money, more land bank to come, more development to come. I think is transforming to a property developers, just like I-Bhd now a big developer.
@koonbee, the company applied for APDL since 2013? if you are not sure about the information, you should refrain from using the words "in fact". The company applied for the APDL in middle of 2015, and they got the approval a few months later. That is a fact.
Ewein's shares are trending impressively since 6th Jan 2016 since breaking out from a flag.Bullish pattern on a wave 3 is noticiable.It manage to test immediate resistance of RM 1.56 before a pullback. With more good news in store, once share price breaks RM1.56 supported with a good healthy volume it should scale to next resistance of RM 1.62 and Rm1.70 with a long term objective of RM 1.80 levels.Immediate supports can be seen at 1.45 level.
Ewein-WA- which expires on the 10th June 2017 with a strike price of RM0 .61 revised from 1.00 previously, based on the mother share of RM 1.52 . The warrant should be trading at RM 0.91 but close 0.82 therefore RM 0.09 discounts this morning supported with a good healthy volume. Upon retesting and breaking RM0.86 the warrant will test the next resistance of RM 0.925 and RM 0.99 levels.Supports can be found at RM0.795.The appetite for the stock remains strong and unwavering with strong buying interest.
long term target is well above 1.8..just monitor the development of events to transform ewein..this will be yr 2016 star performer...just the profit frm project cod 1 ady justify 2.0...all lands acquired will be used for high end luxury real estate development.

i feel the agreement is a sweet deal for the company. it gives the company the rights to acquire the 50 acres of prime land for a duration of 10 years. With this being locked in, the certainty is there and therefore financing would be easier.
This indeed shows the company is moving towards of being a giant. Dream big, and you will be big. With the land being given as compensation, the plot ratio i believe would be high enough for the company to make good money.
Feifun...your comment 1 acre can built 122000 sq ft with sales of rm146 mil..pls enlighten me how to make a good profit with land cost 56.6 mil (not include the bank interest if financing by bank) + building cost + marketing cost + staff maitainance fees/property agent commission if to appoint property agent to sell + misc...??
I estimated for 1 acre, land cost 56 mil + bank interest at 5% p.a for minimal 5 years @ 25% x 56 mil (rm14 mil) + contruction cost Rm500k/ unit (1 acre can built 122000 sq ft/ average 1000 sq ft per unit = 122 units)
56 mil + 14 mil + 61 mil contruction cost = 121 mil not including the marketing cost, agent fees and misc
Dream big is good...but also have to look at market sentiment wether the buyer can absorb the price or not and the bank can approved the loan for new buyer or not...all these have to take into the consideration
For my view, condo with rm1 mil are no at the moment...now is affordable house trend
If you read the announcement, it is a right to acquire the lands, a right which extends for 10 years. It is not the actual acquisition of land. That shows insatiable long term intent, but without having to commit on the purchase in the mean time. I reckon this is planned to allow for cashflow fro projects to finance the payments of the lands for this 10 years. How sweet is this deal?? Sweetest i reckon. With this rights to acquire strategic and prime land, the company has a right to an amazing land bank which is located, in my opinion, the best prime location in Penang.
