Due to ringgit appreciation to 3.99 vs 1USD, most export stocks are battered. Meaning lesser foreign exchange earn as compared earlier. Is the ringgit sustainable in the coming weeks. I dont think so as ringgit is still very volatile.

Anyway, one should not stay away your export counter .But, to fight back while everything start to stabilise. Especially the quality counter. Preparing to be scared till blood every street. Eg definitely will rebuilt its uptrend after the bottoming out.

Refer last quarter report, total Group borrowings as at 31 Dec 2015, as follows:

Denominated in Malaysia Ringgit 42,162k
Denominated in US Dollar 121,552k
Denominated in Thai Baht 47,890k

Thus, lower USD should benefit EG in term of borrowing...

31 Dec 2015(4.2933) : RM 121,552k = USD 28,314k
Today (3.98): USD 28,314k = RM 112,689k

Saving from borrow USD RM 8,863k = 4.2 cents per share

One should read about the effect of the exposure of forex before commenting on EG...

EG has 50% of borrowing denominated in USD.
EG also has 50% of revenue derived from USD.
