Internationally-renowned Malaysian, Chef Wan, whose full name is Redzuawan Ismail (left), had taken an economy flight on the national air carrier to Bangkok on Jan 29 when he was served the offending nasi lemak, which he labelled as “telanjang (nude)”.
He uploaded the picture on social site Instagram, which showed a box of nasi lemak with half a boiled egg cutting a lonely figure on top, and devoid of the customary sliced cucumbers, fried nuts and anchovies. http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/253413
No worry. They supplied 'Nasi Lemak Telanjang" to MAS so can make a lot of money. LOL.
But Chef Wan, MAS boasts about its in-flight food all the time. All those international travel organisations that heap awards on MAS cannot be wrong, surely?
Perhaps you got confused. MAS tries, apparently, to provide food that reflects current Malaysian cuisine.
What with the high prices of everything rising, surely nasi lemak bungkus (ala mamak stalls) is what most Malaysians can afford, and your photo appears to show just that - minus the ‘bungkus’. And yes, they left out the kangkung because it is not politically correct at this time.
This strategy will also help MAS achieve break-even instead of racking up year after year of losses as advised by their highly paid consultants.
So don't complain, help those ding-a-lings at MAS to cut costs. But do take a leaf from my book. When I travel on a route that only MAS serves, I always have my meals at the airport - both ways.
I bought brahim at 40sen and still keeping it. when it is 4 I will sell because F & B is always recession proof and it had achieved 4 previously under tamadam
Posted by 1MtalkingKangkung > Feb 4, 2014 11:23 AM | Report Abuse Chef Wan, it is a lost cause. Because you are “somebody”, they responded to you. If others were to complain, they will just ignore them. Mind you, I don't think MAS has paid cheaply on that “box” of nasi lemak.
Check who is the supplier first. Check how much that supplier charges MAS before we talk further.
Thanks Chef Wan, for enlightening us on the 'naked' nasi lemak on MAS flights. It seems like the company is cutting costs yet again in order to survive. Unfortunately, the victim now is the humble nasi lemak.
Is the company feeling the pinch, too, like us ordinary citizens? MAS had better do an audit check on its caterer. Perhaps what they promised and what they actually deliver are worlds apart.
I am the one whom consume foods produced by brahims quite frequently. To be honest, the foods used to be nice and not as "naked" as wad was alleged by Chef Wan.
Until recently, I found out the foods has been degraded. For instance, they used to have large shrimps in the nasi lemak, but now only with small small shrimps.
I dont care what happen u wanna give good or naked nasi lemak I dont care. As long as it drives the share price up, I dont give a @!#*. If brahims sells nasi lemak to mas at 2.50, the share price atm could probably be worth 0.13 cents. Be grateful its actually good to be bodoh and tamak rather then pandai and content. As the saying goes, org tamak selalu untung, and selalu rugi oso.
Brahims may move higher after the strong move this morning. Purchase can be made if it stays above MYR2.30, with a close below MYR2.20 as stop loss. Price target is MYR2.60, if the MYR2.50 resistance is broken. Failure to stay above MYR2.30 could see the stock trade sideways and strong support is at MYR2.00. -RhbIb
Strong move because affin guy proposed strong buy yesterday. Clearly affin has huge share here. Id like to see it hit 2.38 again.but of course, then it'll go back to 2.05++ :p.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
