UOA Development Bhd menafikan spekulasi yang mengatakan ia akan diambil alih oleh Eco World Development Holdings Sdn Bhd.
Dalam satu kenyataan hari ini, UOA Development berkata syarikat itu dan pemegang-pemegang saham penguasaannya, tidak tahu menahu tentang rundingan yang sedang berjalan sekarang seperti yang dilaporkan dalam sebuah penerbitan mingguan.
Dilaporkan Pengasas Bersama/Pengarah Urusan UOA Development, Kong Chong Soon, sedang mempertimbangkan kemungkinan menjual kesemua 68% kepentingannya dalam syarikat itu.
"Syarikat ini terus komited kepada rancangan jangka sederhana dan panjangnya dengan memberikan tumpuan kepada kegiatan pembangunan dan mencapai prestasi kewangan yang mampan dan kukuh bagi pemegang saham kami," kata UOA Development.
Bulan lepas, Eco World Development membeli Focal Aims Holdings Bhd.
Menurut laman sesawangnya, UOA Development mempunyai simpanan tanah sebanyak lebih 40.47 hektar (100 ekar) dengan anggaran potensi nilai pembangunan kasarnya sebanyak lebih RM10 bilion pada 31 Disember 2012, yang akan diraih dalam 10 tahun akan datang.
Portfolio pelaburan kumpulan meningkat kepada kira-kira RM1.5 bilion setakat Disember tahun lepas. – Bernama, 4 Oktober, 2013.

I am not sure how do u get 378 mil cash, but for me, cash or cash equivalent value should be RM832.6 mil (23.6+501.2+119.9+187.9) as in 2nd Q result, which is much higher, haha... A good company, just the main concern is on office oversupply issue in KL which may hit its commercial properties. i belive the selling of EPF is mainly because of taking profit activities for EPF dividend paymnet soon because EPF is not only selling UOADEV, but others as well. Grab some when price weakness.
Cash as of last annual report 378 mil. As of last Q result 187.9 mil. Next report due this week or next. Last years total revenue 799 mil. This 6 months already 678 mil. Looking superb.
stevechan and haikeyila,u r both correct.Just that heikeyila just highlight the cash and bank balances whereas steve added the short ter invesments and fixed deposits.
yes, because i think FD & short term investments which invest into fixed income & money market instruments are considered as cash as well. Besides, the available-for-sale financial assets which comprise local equities also can be considered as cash. just my 2cent.

you might want to keep this for the divvy of 6% and hopefully more in the future. can you name another property counter with a 36% margin, 17% ROE and quick ratio of 5X? shorter term however is difficult to predict, as property counters are being battered.
You will get your money trapped as there won't be many investors who appreciate this stock despite the good fundamental. My two cents. Will drop below 2 soon.
the only ones selling are EPF and the weak holders. even if the price gets volatile, its worth to keep for the divvy. and EPF can acquire back at any time. looking forward to accumulate.
Looking to top up some myself. Despite the decent 3rd qtr result, it still seems to be on a downtrend. Waiting for it to stabilise first, although RM2.00 seems to be very attractive.
the chart of uoadev shows a triple bottom, resistance is strong there so it's not so likely to drop further. I'm not so familiar with technical analysis, any sifus please correct me if I am wrong.

Just wait for the nezt earnings report in Nov. Profits could double, and asset increase through land purchase still not recorded.
