No Risk--> No Gain--> Better put money in fixed deposit and watch your money being eaten up by inflation over the long term. If u want higher return then stocks is still the best avenue to obtain higher returns on your invested capital
Let us not be overly paranoid about the recent market sell down and gorge oneself with paranoia as this may not necessarily result in good investment decisions but this is your choice as an investor.
The initial uncertainty over quantum of FED tapering(No tapering, steep tapering or tepid tapering) had contributed to recent market sell down globally and the deteriorating economic fundamentals of emerging economies such as India, Indonesia, Thailand played a major influence to affect overall sentiments in the recent market sell down.
The Market is pricing in a tepid FED tapering in September with nominal increase in global interest rates as evidenced by the recent Dow & Global market selloff followed by the last two trading days of positive Dow, S&P and European markets performance which seem to indicate that the worst may be over for the time being...
aysey, most ppl want is no risk, high gain invmt mah ! like Genneva scheme, seaweed scheme, water vending machine that are said no risk investments. at the end habuk pun taada.
Yes as investors we must take cognizant of all the potential risks as this is an important risk management practise. However one should not gorge oneself with extreme paranoia to the extent that it clouds and inhibits ones objective view on investment. After all one buys and sells at one's own risk and one's risk profile varies significantly from individuals to individuals, investment houses.
The big picture is despite the recent slowdown, real money growth remains above industrial output expansion, suggesting still-supportive liquidity conditions – bear markets usually begin only after the real money / output growth gap has turned negative.
My Take: We are not there as yet. And if one allows oneself to be extremely paranoid then one will most likely miss out on the future opportunity. If that is the case then better put ones capital in bank deposits and watch the inflation eats away the value of the principal capital. Every investor is free to decide on his/her risk profile and on the appropriate investment strategy that suits one's risk profile..
derrick do see how stoneage change to stonenut and then into nut...double personalities just after sell , then just after buyin...once very optimistic then very pessimistic , then becomes very2 optimistic (after buyin lah)..haha..and he flagged me...adakah patut???
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
