1. NEW ENGINES OF GROWTH FOR BAMBOO AND RELATED PRODUCTS In the fourth quarter of 2020, the construction of the company new bamboo concession and processing plant in Jingzhou was completed. Although the plant is still in the early phases of testing and commissioning, the company is looking forward to the positive financial contribution it will bring to the Group once commercial production commences. The expansion in Jingzhou will allow the Group to focus not only on manufacturing of bamboo products but also processing of bamboo related foodstuff and bamboo eco-tourism in the near future.
MY COMMENT: a) The company has stated the promising progress has been made in the relocation of the new bamboo and processing plant. The company still keen on the potentials of its bamboo and related products business to be turn around especially after the new processing plant in Jinzhou started to operate.
Diversified into new construction business aimed at deriving synergy with the property investment and management segment. Acquired 51% stake in building materials supplier, Sung Master Holdings Sdn Bhd for RM94.8 million. Acquired 126 units of service apartments at Antara @ Genting Highlands for RM142.87 million.
One of the new subsidiaries, Kanger Medical International Sdn Bhd is making inroads into the healthcare industry by sourcing for face masks and Covid-19 vaccines.
MY COMMENTS:
a) These "corporate" statements give us the SIGN that the BOD and the company has tried to do some efforts for the betterment of the company in future.
b) The company are diversifying and also entering business activities in Malaysia, instead of solely relied on the PRC business activities. Some of the progress of diversification can be read below:
Currently, the Group is working together with a few parties to complete multiple construction projects across a few sites in the state of Selangor and Pahang to the tune of approximately RM1.0 billion. The Group is also in the midst of applying for the Grade 7 contractor license from the Construction Industry Development Board (“CIDB”) and aims to tender for new construction projects to further grow our construction orderbook.
The Group already completed the purchasing of a 51% stake in building materials supplier, Sung Master Holdings Sdn. Bhd. The acquisition will broaden the Group’s product offerings to also include other building materials such as timber, flooring, tiles, bulk cement, concrete, locksets and sanitary ware. This strategic acquisition is well-aligned to strengthen and complement the Group’s newly established construction business as Kanger will be able to source the building materials directly from Sung Master’s suppliers to better manage the input cost and enhance the profitability of these construction projects.
The Group had also purchased 126 service apartment units at Antara @ Genting Highlands on an enbloc basis. Expected to be completed in 2024. The company believes that the rental income or capital gains arising from these property units will contribute positively to the company.

ANYWAY, KANGER WAS MORE DIVERSIFIED.
1. The proceed from the disposal of assets (if done) will give positive short term impact on profitability of Kanger.
2. Expecting the expansion in Jingzhou will allow the Group to focus not only on manufacturing of bamboo products but also processing of bamboo related foodstuff and bamboo eco-tourism in the near future. The businesses should be improved when the Covid-19 pandemic settles in the near future.
3. The contribution from Sung Master also expected to help Kanger in terms of increasing the company's revenue and profitability in the near future.

Antara @ Genting Highlands is under construction and development (with approximately 12% completion as at the LPD) with expected completion by January 2026. The proposed development will be carried out in 2 phases; the first phase of the development shall comprise the podium block together with Blocks A and B and the second phase shall comprise Blocks C and D. At this juncture, the first phase of the development is anticipated to be completed by June 2025.

Please correct me if wrong...Mr James Ng video mentioned compared to 2019 when share price was 4 Sen, now 5 Sen, gain is 25%, impressive. KUALA LUMPUR: Duopharma Biotech Bhd’s unit is distributing the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine following the arrival of a shipment as the company contributes to the vaccination efforts in Malaysia.
The company said on Friday its unit Duopharma (M) Sdn Bhd is the product registration holder approved to sell and distribute the vaccine.

This vaccine is also manufactured by G42 Healthcare (Hayat-Vax), the vaccine that Kanger is waiting for the approval from NPRA.
MZM2511, According to the Controls of Drugs and Cosmetics Regulations 1984, any company that want to manufacture, import or wholesale any registered products need to have Manufacturer’s Licence, Import Licence or Wholesale Licence. Licensing & Certification Section is involved in the activity of issuance of Licence. ( Source: NPRA - Ministry of Health Malaysia)
Question: Does Kanger has any of the above, taking note it is not involved in this pharmaceutical industry. It has no experience nor track record.
As to the donation from UAE, the route to procure these free vaccines must go through the licensed companies as per NPRA. As far as Hayat is concerned, though it is Sinopharm manufactured under licence, it is still subjected to be audited and approved before it can be brought in. The name can be the same but the plant is different, the QC and formulation must be certified just in case of any deviation.

The announcement by the listed company should be binding by Law and Regulations.
I think, they could not simply say that ".... is still waiting for the approval..." if they do not applied for the approval yet. It will be misleading information given to the investors and public and the BOD will has a risk of breaching the law.... I think the BOD not dare to take the risks.
Therefore, I concluded that, Kanger has submitted the application for NPRA approval.
TRUE, the NPRA has their justifications to be fulfilled before approving the application.
Even the Sputnik V not yet approved by NPRA. INI MASALAH ROTI CANAI, NIE.. He He
