Boris Johnson’s post-Brexit ‘powerhouse economy’ to flourish for TEN YEARS – study finds The upbeat picture of the UK's future outside the EU comes as the Prime Minister looks to tie up a host of lucrative trade deals throughout next year.
Top of the list, once Britain leaves the EU on January 31, is a multi-trillion pound super-trade deal with the USA.
Britain is also negotiating its future trading relationship with the EU. Mr Johnson has vowed this will be sewn up by the end of 2020.
Deals with Australia, Japan and Norway, among others, are also expected to flood in once Britain is free from the shackles of Brussels.
Mr Johnson has promised a new "golden age" for Britain during the next 10 years following the tories election landslide.
... and that augur very well for Ewint. Boris Johnson’s post-Brexit ‘powerhouse economy’ would be like The Wind beneath Ewint's Wings, that make it fly higher than an eagle.
Who need a trade deal more ? UK or EU? ------------------------------------------------------- Describing the EU as a protectionist entity created by socialists, the former owner of Southampton FC argued that Britain had absolutely nothing to fear and everything to gain from a no-deal Brexit.
He explained: “I don’t see any problem myself with leaving on World Trade Organisation rules.
“The whole of the Establishment machine has frightened everybody into thinking that we have to have some form of trade deal signed and sealed before we can leave, but it’s nonsense.
He was confident that Michel Barnier and his chums would agree a trade deal with the UK, given that the EU benefits to a far greater extent from commerce with the UK than the UK does with Europe.
Boris Johnson is really a maestro in politics. His no deal Brexit is actually a precursor to getting a deal, considering that EU need a trade deal more than UK.
Wonder whether ewint will react next time when UK officially leave EU by 31 Jan next month, just like Huaan finally shot up after it was officially lifted from para 8.03a
So Ewint is aiming to add a total of 3,000 BTR homes by 2020 !
I would expect not long after UK leave EU officially on 31 Jan next month, Ewint will get the deals for these 3,000 BTR homes, which were already in the critical phase of negotiations since March this year.
Sales value of these 3000 BTR homes will be about RM6 billion (since sale values of 1084 BTR units sold to invesco were RM2.1 billion) , just nice to fill Ewint's combined 2-year sales target of RM6 billion for FY2019 and FY2020 (already RM1.123 billion as at 31/10/2019).
The beauty of BTR (built to rent) over OMS (open market sales)
While OMS in the UK invest forward, this is not the case for BTR as the institutional investor provides the progress payments for construction.
The downside of BTR is a lower margin for EWI but the company is shielded from the higher risk of OMS, where earnings from a project are recognised only after completion.
BTR deals are usually conducted on a forward funded basis in the UK, explained EWI president and CEO Datuk Teow Leong Seng, who was also present at the briefing. “[Under a forward funding arrangement], you sign a contract with the investor and once the completions [of the terms in the contract] are met, they will pay you the land price and after that, they pay you every month as you build the units. So there is no need for borrowings. https://www.edgeprop.my//content/1578035/what-build-rent-augurs-ewi -------- So in summary, BTR benefits to Ewint:
1) earnings is progress payments for construction. No need to wait until project completion like Ewint's OMS projects like London City Island, Embassay Gardens, Wardian London. So if can secured the Btr deals in 2020, then earnings can be recognised in 2021 onward. So no worry for 2021 revenue and profit.
2) no need for borrowings as it is progress payments for construction.
In the event Ewint get the deals for these 3,000 BTR units next year, I would expect mother to reach at least 1.20 and son high 0.20s, if they are not already there by then.
US Ambassador confident of post-Brexit trade deal in 2020 - ‘incredible year’
US Ambassador to the UK, Woody Johnson, has said 2020 is set to be a “incredible year” ahead of the start of post-Brexit trade talks between Boris Johnson and US President Donald Trump.
The US Ambassador has called on the two nations to “embrace the opportunity” and sent “trade into the stratosphere”.
He wrote on Twitter: “2020 promises to be an incredible year for the #SpecialRelationship.
“Let’s embrace the opportunity to take US & UK trade into the stratosphere!”
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
