Bs1688 - congratulations on Ecofirst if you are in. Its bullish mode is valid but do remember to set your trailing stop, to protect your profits in case its upward momentum reverses. Target price is only a guide.
Matrixcool - unfortunately I didn't get to buy Guoco. Not easy to buy it on event (3)... it opened gap up above breakout point, up 4%. Waited for it to drop back but it never did... Should I have jumped in if it open gap up above breakout level? Really need to learn more from you.
Hi sunlight, Could you plse give an update on the chart in view of today's breakout. Thank you.

Hi novice8, MITRA: Trading sideways on consolidation mode. Currently, it is in range movement with a support line at $0.865 and a resistance line at $0.895. If it scales higher, it needs to break above $0.905 resistance with volume to move into potential bullish mode. From there, it will try to re-test the previous high at $0.935. If it fails to break above $0.895/$0.905, it will go back to its range movement. The immediate support is at $0.865 follow by a strong support at $0.825. Stop loss at $0.825 if violated with volume.
tsy88 - went into Genetec but cut loss (1 sen) after seeing it lacked momentum but luckily 5.5 sen gain in Willow was more than enough to cover. Bought some SSteel in the afternoon when I had time to look at the screen but didn't realized it shot to 1.74 at the close. Will look forward to lock in profits tomorrow. Good night.
Hi Nana88, MITRA: Yes, it has become bullish when it broke out above $0.895/$0.905 and $0.935 today with a very huge volume. However, such great volume could be contributed by buying frenzy which could potentially ends up with some pull back due to heavy selling thereafter. Hence, if you are contemplating to enter, I suggest monitoring the price movement on the next trading to determine its direction. If it pulls back, it will find good support at $0.935 and $0.905 respectively. It needs to remain above $0.935 for the uptrend to be intact. Hence, if the pull back is well supported at $0.935, it may present opportunity to buy during weakness but careful monitoring of the price movement on the next few days is important in order to make the right entry choice. If it continues to scale up, it will find resistance at $1.00 and $1.12 before re-testing its all-time high at $1.22.
1lottrade , I am a bit surprise you did not grab the opportunity when GUOCO gap up as a breakaway gap from the flag pattern, it actually issues a signal BUY BUY BUY.. A gap up from its pennant pattern mean you jump in and buy.
Hi nana88, My congrats to you. Please remember to set trailing stop to protect your profit. When you have such a big jump in price, it is usually a good practice to lock in some % of profit. Nothing beats putting money in your pocket.
Ibwest88 - just to share with you my trading today. Did 3 trades. Entered Sntoria wa at 64 and cleared at 70/71/74. Bought Mitra at 94.5 and sold at 98. Made grave mistake by buying Pmetal when it broke high of 6.15 and jumped in at 6.20. It was a bull trap and cut loss at 6.15. Luckily covered loss from Sntoria wa and Mitra and also saved charges on intra day!
First time I did fun quick trades for 3 stocks, haha. Wanted to buy Guoco but did not want to over commit.
Inwest88 - bought Talam at 13. Shifted funds from Dolimite to this counter. Will hold for a while as my ex boss who is Md for Magnum and Mphb has been buying a lot into Talam. His Thai name is Surin Upapathangkoon and was once kidnapped together with his 5 year old daughter. Later freed and kidnappers caught and put behind bars.
Inwest88 - have not entered your stocks nentioned for consideration for quite some time. In fact, had practically gained from your stocks posted in TCB. Realised that most of your stocks posted mostly go uo with the exception of a few. So must pay more attention to your stocks for consideration postings!
Inwest88 - ijacobs really very nice. Was tempted to jump in so many times but held back each time it has not really corrected. But in reality,it is self correcting on daily basis, retreats and back up again. Expecting it to try 80 mark next. My observation and views only on this stock.
tsy88 - thanks for the info on Talam. I reckon this stock will be tough to go up as it has a lot of stale bulls. As I mentioned my picks are just for consideration as I myself may or not go in as I need to factor in other criteria to support my buy decision.
You may notice that I do not respond after my morning posting as I have to go for marketing / breakfast with my wife (daily routine) and by the time reaches home will look at the screen for 15 to 20 minutes before going to work. During office hours can only look at my mobile if time permits.
Have a profitable trading day. By the way glad you are doing quick trades nowadays but be always prepared to cut loss. Cheers !
Inwest88 - good morning. Same for me too. Can only get in after market close or much later. Pmetal announced latest results and profit increased by threefold! Also giving dividend 5 cents and bonus 1 for 1. At least gap up by 20- 30 cents. Shouldn't have cut!
Bullish after it broke out from its consolidation on 12/8. Support is now at 0.64. Resistance at 0.65 has been taken out. TP1 is 0.74, TP2 = 0.79 and TP3 = 0.83 (Note: TP is only a guide).
The buy/sell decision rest with you. We do not advise when to buy or sell but we do advocate that when a stock is up trending, you need to constantly evaluate your trailing stop to protect your profits in case there the price reverses. Some traders ride the profits to its maximum while others lock in profits when it hits their target price. It really depends on your risk appetite. Do remember that it is always good to take profits off the table.
When sell... do you set profit target to sell or do you set trailing stop?
Say scicom today up so much, are you going to queue at certain target price to sell, or do you do a stop... i.e. if it drop below such price, you'll sell?
Pathew, MASTEEL could not break above its immediate downtrend line of $1.08.Now it may have found a new base at $1.02, if $1.02 stays you can expect some technical rebound to $1.05/$1.07. Buy if break $1.08 with volume, signal trend reversal.
# Dunknow > Aug 12 Dear TCB, should we buy share when it break out of the immediate resistance or before the break out? #
DunKnow, you ask a valid question. I would like to share with you how I trade and others might not agree with my method. First we must know what stage of the cycle is the stock on. I would start with: a) Stage 1—Beginning of a new cycle. It normally trade within a range in rectangle pattern. I do not trade during this consolidation(But some may want to bottom Fish and wait it out), in this stage I will only buy on Breakout. b) Stage 2—Bullish trend. All traders want to be in stage 2 because this is where the money is.This is the stage I will buy on breaking new high or under consolidation.Especially if the consolidation form bullish Flag or pennant. I will try to buy inside the pennant then scale in after the break out. c) Stage 3—Distribution stage. I sometime trade in stage 3 because of the big spread. Lots of bull traps happen here and I do not normally chase the stock on break out. d) Stage 4—Bearish—Avoid at all cost.
yong88 - INSAS Stage 3, Distribution stage. Consolidating between 1.18 and 1.31. Support level of 1.18 and 1.16. Resistance level of 1.26 and 1.31. It's lack of momentum and volume at the moment. If you're bottom fishing do cut-loss if 1.16 is violated.
seek - PMCORP It breakout from consolidation between 0.21 and 0.24. Now it has an immediate resistance of 0.255 and the next resistance of 0.265. Support level at 0.24 and 0.23. RSI shows uptrend and has some degree of bullishness. It will re-test it's immediate resistance, and once it is taken out anticipate that the next resistance level 0.265 will be re-tested. To remain bullish, it must close above 0.24. Stop-loss at 0.21.
Also could you enlighten on fibo retracement. As they seem to rebound at respective level. My question is how can we determine which level it would retrace and continue its uptrend.
Matrixcool,it's really cool...now i understand so much....really have so much to learn from you guys....it's very good explanation & will help me in future trade...thankssssssssssssss.... nice knowing TCB!
Hi cherry tomato, IVORY: Trading sideways on consolidation mode. Currently, it is range bound with a support line at $0.605 and a resistance line at $0.66. The immediate support is at $0.605. If it doesn't break the support at $0.605, it would go back into its range movement. Currently, it seems to be supported at $0.605 and the selling pressure has faded and more buyers has started coming in (white candle with low volume). For rectangle trading traders, this may be a good entry point as it is at support level and target to sell when close to $0.66. This seems low risk as any weakness causing to break below $0.605 will find immediate support at $0.595. If it scales further and breaks above $0.66 with volume, this signal potential bullish breakout and will try to re-test its previous high at $0.72. It will firstly find resistance at $0.685 and $0.705 respectively before reaching there. Stop loss at $0.59 if violated.
