Leading provider of Ultra High Purity (UPH) gas and chemical delivery systems, Kelington Group Bhd (Kelington), has secured RM43.3 million in new orders, boosting its order book secured to-date to RM126.0 million.
A substantial portion of the new orders were secured from Tokuyama Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Tokuyama) worth RM25.0 million via the Malaysian arm of Kelington's recently acquired subsidiary, Puritec Technologies (S) Pte Ltd (Puritec).
Tokuyama is a Japanese-based company involved in polycrystalline silicon, a key component of solar panel construction.
Kelington Chairman Raymond Gann said the new order, secured via Puritec, was testament of the management's foresight in acquiring the Singapore-based company in Feb 2012.
"The new orders serve as an indicator that emerging markets in Asia remained relatively strong.
"In addition, our acquisition of Puritec proves fruitful," he said in a statement. -- Bernama
