AirAsia X Bhd, in a move to expand its operations, will fly to Nagoya, its third destination in Japan in March next year after Tokyo and Osaka.
Chief executive officer Azman Osman-Rani said the low cost carrier would commence four weekly flights to Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya from Kuala Lumpur.
In conjunction with the new destination, AirAsia X will offer discounted hot deals for the route from as low as RM199 on eonomy and RM699 premium to Nagoya.
Booking online is available from November 19-24, 2013 for the travel period between March 17 and August 5, 2014, the company said in a statement.
"This marks another milestone for AirAsia X and reiterates our expansion commitment in the key markets we operate in the Asia Pacific Region.
"With the addition of Nagoya, guests will have more travel options to explore Japan and the airline has carried over half-a-million passengers to and from Japan," he said, adding that Japan contributed over 14 per cent of AirAsia X's total revenue in the first half of the year.
Azman said Japanese guests would be able to fly to a host of destinations from Kuala Lumpur, using AirAsia's Fly-Thru service, which allowed guests to easily connect between two different flights via the Kuala Lumpur Low Cost Carrier Terminal without having to worry about checking in twice.-- Bernama
