Last month, Kinergy Advancement Berhad (KAB) announced a collaboration with Permodalan Kedah Bhd (PKB) to develop various energy generation projects across Malaysia, focusing primarily on the state of Kedah.

Today, KAB has taken another significant step by forming a strategic collaboration with Johor Corporation (JCorp), the principal development institution driving Johor state's economic growth. This collaboration marks a busy and productive year for KAB as it continues to expand its influence and capabilities in the energy sector.

According to the announcement, the collaboration aims to develop customized Energy Efficient (EE) projects for data centers, Renewable Energy (RE), and Clean Energy (CE) initiatives for various energy-related facilities and engineering projects, primarily for data centres or other related facilities under JCorp.

On the other hands, KAB will leverage its extensive expertise to provide cutting-edge energy efficiency solutions. These systems are expected to significantly reduce the overall energy consumption of data centres and enhance their Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). Additionally, KAB will demonstrate its engineering capabilities through the EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) development of data centres and other energy-related facilities.

KAB’s technical proficiency in RE and CE solutions will extend to other JCorp initiatives. This includes promoting renewable energy export through Third-Party Access (TPA) Programmes and other renewable energy schemes, thereby supplying RE to JCorp and its related businesses to support their sustainability goals.

As KAB continues to expand its presence across various potential markets, this cooperative effort with JCorp will bolster its position in diversifying its sustainable energy portfolio. This move solidifies KAB’s standing as a leading One-Stop Energy and Engineering Solutions Provider, poised to drive significant advancements in Malaysia’s energy sector.
