Mobile virtual network operator, XOX Mobile, has a new twist on the prepaid mobile plan – music-related exclusives and in the future, digital music. 

Called the ONEMusic Edition Starter Pack, this prepaid plan gives you access to music showcases from acts like Fazura and Bunkface, special ticket offers, artistes' merchandise and exclusive meet and greet experiences, thanks to a partnership with Universal Music Malaysia.

The ONEMusic Edition Starter Pack also gives customers a 20% discount at selected CD-Rama outlets or a 10% discount at Lazada for all Universal Music products.

While currently music purchases are limited to discounts on physical CDs, XOX Mobile and Universal will launch an app at a later date that will allow for digital downloads of music for ONEMusic customers.

The prepaid gives you 4G network speeds and can be bought for just RM10 – for the price you get all the benefits mentioned including RM5 worth of airtime which can be used for voice calls, video calls, SMS and mobile data use.

First time top up of the prepaid of RM30 gives you 3GB worth of data and a 28-month validity for the prepaid if the top up is made within 10 days from registration. 

XOX Berhad group chief executive officer Ng Kok Heng also announced that existing ONEXOX and new ONEMusic subscribers will get free 36GB of data when they register their membership online although that data is spread "over a period of time." Ng did not elaborate on the time period of validity
