Do you know that PGF Capital:-

  • is a Main-Market listed company? in fact, it has been listed for 34 years since 1990? long operating track record.
  • is one of the few producers of glasswool insulation in Southeast Asia?
  • now has institutional shareholding of at least 14% based on the latest 2024 annual report?

Yes, PGF now has at least abt 14% insti shareholders looking at its latest 2024 annual report that was published recently on 27 June 2024 (that list the top 30 shareholders). Now, if I compared to 2023 annual report, insti shareholding was only 5% back then. Notable fund name at that point was just AIA, with some bank names like UBS, JP Morgan and Societe Generale Paris. Fast forward today.. wah, there seem to be an overhaul with a lot of reputable fund names - Tokio Marine Insurance, AIA (still shareholder), Norges Bank, Lembaga Tabung Haji, Great Eastern and UOB Asset.

Now, what do they know that we retailers don't? hmm, this really warrant some thinking. We know insti investors have much better access to information than us the small fries. Thankfully, PGF is covered by TA Research and actually the analyst (who has a target price of RM2.76 on PGF) has listed down the growth catalysts in his reports. You can read his report on i3investor too at https://klse.i3investor.com/web/pricetarget/research/70182.

Just a note.. if Norges Bank sounds unfamiliar to you, do go read up. From the little I know, Norges fund invests in Malaysia.. and they are the largest sovereign wealth fund in the word. No play play.. and the fact that Norges and other funds are in PGF.. it tells you sth huh? let me read up all the TA reports and do some digging before I write more.

Below is the screen shot from PGF's latest annual report on its shareholding analysis. Can download from bursa malaysia or company websites and verify it yourself.
