KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 5): NationGate Holdings Bhd (KL:NATGATE) has launched its latest artificial intelligence (AI) servers catering for clients from start-ups to hyperscale data centres.

The launch sees NationGate emerging as the first in Malaysia to manufacture the servers.

The servers will be powered by industry-leading graphics processing units (GPUs). NationGate added that it is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partner to the industry-leading GPUs' manufacturer.

“As a Malaysian company, NationGate is able to provide one-stop service for AI servers and switching solutions while supporting the localisation agenda," said NationGate managing director Datuk Ooi Eng Leong in a statement.

"NationGate’s strategic leap into AI and data centres underscores its commitment towards advancing technology, while fostering local innovation and economic growth by contributing towards supply chain investments and high-skilled employment opportunities which are essential to remain competitive in this fast-paced industry," Ooi said.

NationGate said as a trusted OEM partner, it strives to ensure each and every AI server meets global standards for reliability, scalability, and ease of deployment.

The new servers, it said, are benchmarked against the best in the market and come with tailored solutions to address diverse needs in generative AI and high-performance computing.

"Studies have shown that data centre capacity is projected to more than double every two years for the next five years, which underscores the importance of localising technology sourcing and nurturing a highly skilled workforce to seize the sector’s long-term growth opportunities," it said.

NationGate's website shows it produces GPU servers and rack servers, the former of which feature NVIDIA HGX H100 module as well as Intel® 4th Gen Xeon® Scalable Processor.

Shares of NationGate rose four sen or 1.68% to close at RM2.42, giving it a market capitalisation of RM5.51 billion. The counter is up 60% this year.
