Tan Sri Acryl Sani bin Abdullah Sani (Tan Sri Acryl) has accumulated approximately 37 years of experience in the Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM). Tan Sri Acryl joined the PDRM in February 1986 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent. Tan Sri Acryl has held various positions within the PDRM before working his way up through the ranks. In January 2000, Tan Sri Acryl took a brief career break to pursue his Diploma in Management Science with the National Institute of Public Administration (Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara). Upon completion of the Diploma in November 2000, Tan Sri Acryl subsequently went on to obtain his Master of Science in Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia in September 2002. Tan Sri Acryl helmed various leadership positions in the PDRM from 2002 to 2018, including Commandant of Kuala Kubu Bharu Police College and Deputy Director for the Criminal Investigation Department Unit. Tan Sri Acryl had served as Police Commissioner of Sarawak and Chief Police Officer of Terengganu and Perak, and was also the Director of several police departments including the Crime Prevention and Community Policing, Commercial Crime Investigation and Internal Security and Public Order departments. In August 2020, Tan Sri Acryl took on the role of Deputy Inspector-General and was later promoted to the Inspector-General of Police of Malaysia in May 2021. Tan Sri Acryl retired from the PDRM in June 2023.
