Chee Khay Leong has extensive experience in the management of manufacturing facilities, marketing and business development. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Kian Joo Can Factory Berhad ("Kian Joo") as Executive Director on 18 June 2012 and assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer cum Executive Director on 10 July 2012. He oversees the implementation of the broad operational strategies and policies, operations, management and performance of Kian Joo's group of companies. He is also a member of the Sustainability Committee of Kian Joo.
He is
the President cum Chief Executive Officer of Box-Pak (Malaysia) Bhd, the listed subsidiary of Kian Joo. He is also an Executive Director of Can-One Berhad, the major shareholder of Kian Joo.
