baburoti : i concur, this should be the cause of the unexplained little sell offs in blue-chips both yesterday and today. Prices are much lower than yesterday last-hour, this morning even do a gap- down opening at 1720 ,so that must be the EPFboys strategy--retreat to a lower level and let the index-funds throw it to them cheaper...

I look at KLCI this way--EPF boys caught the flu (reserves) and went see doctor who prescribed antibiotic,the whole course should finish next tue, hope by then the EPF boys is well and active and can come out from house/bed-ridden and walk around again.

If it is the intention and wishes of the market maker (EPF) to generate a more stable outlook on the country economy via financial/equity market in line with Fitch Rating's stand, then we should see determined intervention tomorrow to stem further deterioration of the above counters..i.e, to hold ci above 1719/1720...preferably with push up above 1736--that should give the syndicates/sharks all the confidence they need to goreng their respective counters----Ini Kali Lah!!!

You wont call KLCI "bullish" (not even short term) in the current situation. At best you would describe it as an uptrend or a rebound; not until end july2015-H1 august2015 if klci manage to scale /hit 1790 and hold on there.

China's Tianjin Zhiyuan to inject RM1.8b into Perwaja

KUALA LUMPUR: China’s Tianjin Zhiyuan Investment Group Ltd will inject about RM1.8bil into the loss-making Perwaja Holdings Bhd under a corporate exercise which will see it emerging as a major shareholder.

Perwaja and its unit Perwaja Steel Sdn Bhd (PSSB) had on Wednesday signed a conditional master framework agreement with Zhiyuan’s unit Zhiyuan International Investment & Holding Group (Hong Kong) Co., Limited.

The agreement was to formalise the parties’ intention and understanding in relation to the proposed regularisation of the Perwaja Group.

Under the corporate exercise, Zhiyuan will subscribe for Perwaja’s entire proposed special issue amounting to RM1.80bil, and provide irrevocable written undertaking to Perwaja to subscribe for its entitlement of up to RM100mi under the proposed rights

Zhiyuan will own more than a 33% stake in Perwaja initially and increase to 64% upon completion of the exercise.

The current shareholders of Perwaja, Kinsteel Bhd and Maju Holdings Sdn Bhd will see their collective shareholding reduced to 25% from the 64% now.
