The only good thing I see from this YP deal is hopefully Abu Dhadi Fund can pull some strings and give Yinson some really good projects. After all, it is in their interest to see Yinson succeed as they will want to cash out when YP IPO.

What is wrong with you. Someone said going to 9.9% is not an issue as Yinson can cancel their own shares. Just like how you kept saying Yinson sold a percentage of FPSO Anna Nery, when Yinson went into partnership with their Japanese friend clearly states the Japanese co can increase their holding after X years. Talk with facts.

They can pay their debt, they have no problem paying their debt. It is just that they kept borrowing money for more projects. They should take a break and gradually reduce their gearing to a level where it is comfortable and then continue to take new projects.

Anyway, I dont understand management, why can't they just take a break and pare down debt first.

The only good thing I see from this deal is the connection Abu Dahbi Fund can bring to the table and helps Yinson to secure even more FPSO projects.

Do you know what is going on? Instead of diluting the mother shares (YHB), Yinson is diluting their subsidary Yinson Production. With YP being the main profit contributor, this means last time if YP made RM1, the parent co YHB also makes RM1. But now, with the dilution of YP, YP still makes RM1 but only maybe 65 cents goes back to YHB the parent company.

The only way to boost the profit for YHB is for YP to secure more projects with the new funds. My question is, when will they take a break and reward the shareholders like me who stood by for 5 years. I even subscribed to their Rights Issue and still holding onto the warrant.

@Holdom2040, yes, i agree with you, many dont see the profit dillusion. or many did that did not like this deal. Yinson management should not be this greedy, why can't they take a break, 3 years break to pare down the debt and build up cash before making any big deals.

Unless the new funds can help yinson to boost their profit by 100%, it is not a win win situation.

and I attend the AGM too, I dont think it is management's fault. Just puzzled.

There is a possibility FPSO Agogo might be completed in 1Q25. It was 90% completed in Dec 2024. If we put sailing time, stocking, checking and etc, first oil could be mid 2025 or 3Q 2025. Ahead of schedule.

Reducing the Anna Nery stake was part of the agreement when they invited the Japanese investor long long long time ago. It was all according to agreement and plan, not a last minute decision.

Everybody knows about the debt, they never hide it, this coming QR, the debt will be even higher as mentioned publicly. They borrow more to build final FPSO. They took on 3 big FPSO in a short time frame.

Ownership reduction of FPSO Anna Nery was clearly written in the agreement and made public years ago. Everybody knows.

They are projected to be cash flow positive around mid 2025. about 8 or 9 months time. Hopefully sooner due to FPSO maria striking first oil many months ahead.
