I have to clearify that according to TSH, the deal is expected to be completed in the 1st quarter of 2023. The cash consideration of the sale is 711.66 M out of which 550M will be for loan repayment. 45M for planting, 47m for infrastructure & capital expenses, 50M for working capital and 19.7M for defraying expenses. TSH noted the group is expected to record a pro forma gain on disposal approximately RM400.31 million. If the deal were to be be successfully completed. Let us recall some extracts from of the edgemarket report dated 21-2-2022: " JAYA TIASA 2nd quarter net profit jumped 11 times on-year to 51m. JAYA TIASA said its oil palm segment is expected to perform well, in view of strong palm oil prices.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the group anticipates satisfactory financial performance for the remaining quarters of FY22."

Fundamental Trader, Your analysis can be taken as a reference but a company can grow and improve over times especially in future earning capacities like JAYA TIASA. So I will STICK to JAYA TIASA and will not be shaken by any other negative comments in this forum.

DickyMe, There are not much of alternatives left in the world market now . Even Russia bans sunflower seeds exports and imposes quota on sunoil. Worst still Ukraine was unable to export its commodities including the edible oil as a result of war.
Now even Iceland has to use Palm oil as one of the alternatives. So you can imagine how scarce is the edible oil shortage which may take quite a long time to resolve.

Jerichomy, Don't be so naive and narrow minded. You are not the only one in the share market. The market is so huge and and many investors are waiting to pickup shares with solid fundamentals and high profitability when they notice the value in the shares. Jaya Tiasa is a share that meets the requirements. Most probably this counter is in some of the big fund managers' watch list ,especially now the with CPO price above average comparing to the past years .Most of the plantation stocks will make by far the best if not the better results this year and the year to come even though I don't know exactly how long the current CPO price will last.

Jerichomy, What make you to say so ? I hope the plantation shares prices rebound strongly sooner or later and all the investors smile and laugh to the banks.
