Jay, do u see any chance of the deal being called off by Rosali ?
2017-01-31 19:22 | Report Abuse
Thanks, Jay. I think probably for future acquisitions as it won't have any businesses left for working capital purposes.
2017-01-31 10:46 | Report Abuse
Jay, Triplc is expected to submit its proposal to the SC within 2 months from the announcement date. It has to provide details on how it plans to utilise the proceeds, right ?
2017-01-26 00:16 | Report Abuse
Jay, my opinion is that triplc shareholders except Rosali would probably only agree to the deal if they could cash in on their investments, rather than letting the cash stay with the company waiting for the next acquisition which may be worst than its current businesses. Why sell off low risk concession businesses at low price to foray into an unknown future ? Possible for a revised proposal to include capital reduction to distribute 95% proceeds, and left 5% to let the company stay afloat for future RTO (like in the case of tecnic) ??

Jay, in your opinion, what is the likelihood that Triplc distributes more than 90% of the proceeds ?

What could be the reasons for triplc trading at more than 50% discount ? worry the deal may be called off ? or no special dividend ?

Dato Ng only get 24k shares from his general offer. That is a very strong hint that the 90 cents offer was way too low. Dato didn't pay RM100m only to get into trouble later. Particle board market is booming with huge demand from china, meddle east, korea and especially Japan preparing for its olympic 2020. The lipis plant is recovering from fire. Compare the results with Q2 will see encouraging signals that 2017 would be the year to look forward to.

One of the most effective to scare the hell out of minorities is to report huge losses on provisions and create fear upon them and slowly drain out their patience and finally caused them to sell out on frustration.........After which, write back the provisions.

If mother share doubles its price (which is very possible over the next 5 years), warrant will gain 1000%.
2016-11-18 20:16 | Report Abuse
There isn't many opportunities like Reach-WA where you only risk a small sum of money for potential 1000% gain. There is no doubt that Oil is one of the most risky businesses which either Boom or Doom. If someone is holding mother share, should consider switching to warrant. You stand to make almost equal amount of gains as mother but only lose one-eighth of the mother share.

if QA passed, the stock may be suspended to facilitate the transfer of shares under repurchase to the custodian account.

Does anyone think Mieco might be a better buy than Heveaboard ?
2016-11-08 15:11 | Report Abuse
Isn't oversea markets usually fetching better pricing ?

Does anyone knows why mieco sales was 80% to local market ? Heveaboard 80% sales was to overseas market.

It seems like the sell down on puncak has led everyone to believe that the deal with Triplc is probably off......

There is one other way. Buy out the NO voters and ask them to change their proxy vote to YES.

You are right, Sunna Sutta. The margin for error is only 25%-20.8% = 4.2%

4th Nov EGM gave the management a list of the voters who turned up to vote personally. It give them an idea how much more capital is needed to buy up enough % to get the QA thru. That is why they have to use the same cut off date as they don't want surprises.
2016-11-07 19:56 | Report Abuse
If you buy now or later than 25th Oct, you cannot vote.

Sunna Sutta, only shareholders whose names appear in the Record of Depositors as at 28 October 2016 shall be eligible to attend and to speak and vote at the Adjourned EGM.

Cut off date remains unchanged, so only the same shareholders can vote on 16th. Those who sold off probably wont vote and new comers can buy but connot vote. Meaning, there will be less NO voters on 16th.
2016-11-07 16:34 | Report Abuse
They are probably negotiating with the seller to extend the deadline of the QA.....

The date of the new EGM is not absolutely confirmed on 10th Nov. The registrar has not received notification yet.

Voting NO is a condition for requesting for share repurchase but not vice versa.
2016-11-05 22:57 | Report Abuse
You can vote NO but not requesting for share repurchase.

It is very likely that those voters who sold at RM0.72 - RM0.73 after 25th Oct are yield investors, so they will vote NO hoping to kill the QA. Share price will fall if QA fails, then they can buy back at a cheaper price and continue their journey as yield investors.
2016-11-05 16:48 | Report Abuse
This includes those who have voted by proxy.
2016-11-05 16:41 | Report Abuse
Just a moment of thought. If there is a new cut off date for the list of entitled voters, then those who have sold off after 25th Oct can no longer vote on the new EGM date. Maybe management noticed that there were still a lot of those who own NO shares as at 3rd Nov still turned up to vote. This move could get rid of those voters who are most likely to vote no.
2016-11-04 16:56 | Report Abuse
another 53m NO vote will kill the QA

Warrant price is a better indicator of results

I believe the registrar would have received most of the proxy votes. Management should know the results by now.......They still have to 2 more days to gather more "YES" votes.
2016-10-31 10:00 | Report Abuse
How to vote "Yes" and still get back the money early ???
2016-10-27 23:47 | Report Abuse
Those who sold 4.6 mil today & vote No cannot buy back & get cash back 0.76 because they do not have the shares for repurchase. They can only hope the QA fails and buy back at lower price.
2016-10-27 19:47 | Report Abuse
Those who sold 4.6m today will still vote no despite not having any share for repurchase, because they can still hope to kill the QA and buy again after the price falls. They won't vote yes unless they bought the warrants.....
2016-10-20 20:43 | Report Abuse
Why would anyone buy 118m shares at RM0.76 when he could have accumulated the shares at much lower price. Only one explanation, the buyer must be related to the management.......Is 11.8% enough to get the QA thru ?? They need 75%. In sona case, 77% voted NO.

Why the results of the court hearing not announced ? It should announce the results promptly for the benefit of everyone not just the few who has knowledge. Share price crawling up...... should be good news.
