It's that Saudi oil minister spooking the oil markets completely with another flip flop call in oil policy. Those idiots just can't seem to decide for a long enough time what it is that they really want. Whether oil price rising high, or dropping low or staying stagnant somewhere in the middle.
One day they say that Saudi is going to drive oil up to $200 if Donald Trump pushes them too far. Then, just couple days later, becos of pressure regarding Kashoggi, and fear that their new economic programme will be boycotted by US investors, they capitulate completely & announce that they will make up completely any shortfall resulting from Iranian sanctions.
Fukkin lame cowardly pussies, them all. OPEC is now useless & impotent. Shud be disbanded completely, and a new global oil organisation set up to take over. Then other new non-OPEC guys like Russia, Norway etc. can come in & take over the leadership. Malaysia can play deputy or even assistant deputy. Saudi as leader both sucks & stinks. Big time.

It's like, your customer is now upset becos the latest price of your product is now too high, at least in his view. So, what do you do. You gv him a lttle discount, just to pacify him for a while. But it can't last forever, becos you're a businessman, running your own company, right.
So, when the dust has kind of settled a little, and he begins accepting the new reality, you slowly increase your price again.

Saudi-OPEC-Russia is just playing a clever game now. They're just soothing & calming Donald Trump with US$80 Brent for a while. Essentially, what they're doing is controlling the price at around that US$80 level. Becos DT is kind of a bit of uncomfortable with US$85 Brent.
But this is just something temporary. When things hv cooled down enough, Saudi-OPEC-Russia will just be going back to their old stuff again. Letting oil gradually rise again.

With all due respect, FrankLim, I really think you shud stop using price figures for WTI, and consistently keep to Brent instead. It cud be dangerously confusing to not a few people, especially the newbies.
Like, if I say today that oil is 79 (meaning Brent oil), and then tomorrow you post something saying oil is now 69 (meaning WTI oil), some guys might start thinking that oil has dropped US$10 & start dumping their stock in panic.
