For TAGB shares to go up, I don't think their property devt and hotel biz plays a significant part, at least not now. I believe the day the Directors stop using TAGB borrowed funds as casino chips to gamble in the stock exchange, would be the day their shares flies. What's the point of making, say RM50M from property/hotel biz and lose RM100M in the stock exchange. Look the Tiahs are not Warren Buffett

Deferring rights issue, is it good or bad? Lion Corp deferred, and eventually call off rights. They are now in trouble. MPCorp same thing. Anyone knows any other co. that deferred their rights issue for no reasons and eventually call for rights?

OPEC production cut, why UMWOG bullish? Does it mean Petronas will increase production because Opec reduce? Therefore Petronas would need to increase drilling work and rent jack up rigs from UMWOG!!

Tiah stop buying because he suddenly realise that he is not warren buffet. Everytime he put money in the market it make losses. His ability to make money in the market is reflected in the financial report "Fall in fair value of investments". That is TAE/TAGB money. No sweat at all to him. So continue to use Co funds to buy high and sell/hold till low. Insofar as he personally buying TA shares, buy high sell low will buy his own pocket. Of course he stop buying!!!

We are in a no win situation. Oil price goes up, then few years down the road oil company decide to expand, increase capital exp, then UMWOG get project, make profit, share price goes up. Meantime, before the UMWOG price goes up, petrol price goes up, every household things goes up, curry laksa, nasi lemak, roti canai all goes up,we all die!!!!

Jolin, yes agree any good co also got debts, but shouldn't debts be accompanied by good assets that generate cash in flows to at least service the interest, never mind principal repayment? Based on TA Securities report, Naga 2,3 and 5 are idle and most likely, Naga 4 & 7 are also idle. Hopefully these assets can get some contract awards in the near future (whether real or rumoured) and achieve your TP RM5.00

k55, look at TheContrarian comment "....RI...squeeze money...minority shareholders." To have RI, first Mulpha has to report some profit, then only rights. Therefore based on historical past of Mulpha, will make losses (2012 : Loss RM473.8M, 2013 : loss RM27.7M), then profit (2014: RM124.5M, 2015 : RM163.3M). After 2 years profits, then rights issue in 2016. Now after RI, start reporting losses first maybe few years later then only report profit. Then only rights issue!!!

Considering the current property market and the need to finance those construction jobs, I would be surprised if divi is more than 3sen notwithstanding the future cash in flow from Ecoworld/Batu Kawan. Also, whilst the BJC project seems to be substantially sold/booked, other than the progress on the shops, I don't think much has been done for the apartments. The launching of the final phase of apartments may be deferred too. In terms of results, therefore not much can be expected in the 30.06.16 qtr. My guess is that they also need to preserve funds for the development of the shopping mall in BJC. Probably results for future qtrs maybe better. If management is confident of future financing inflows, then they may declare higher div but they would be pretty dumb to do so in the current economic situation.

Why game over? I am no legal expert but I imagine the worst outcome is the crane operator goes to jail(and he should go to jail for negligence), probably the manager(for employing a careless crane operator), maybe the CEO(for employing a useless manager). Insofar as compensation, most likely, the Co. is insured against public liability.

Paperplane, I doubt because of price. The CP for the 3 tranches is (i) Issuance of subtitles for each tranche (ii) EPU approval (iii) completion of reclamation. Given that the Johor Govt has a vested interest and the PM being Chairman of IRDA, presumably (i) & (ii) is not a problem. My guess is that it may not be cost effective and/or efficient to fulfill the CPs based on EACH tranche unless the land of each tranche are not contiguous. If the land are contiguous then it would be more efficient and cost effective to do en bloc especially the reclamation part. My 2 sen worth

The proposed revocation says 1) Pay RM50M, 2) Settle loan and 3) Settle advances to BKDSB. Loan is RM94M and advances [based on 30.06.15 AR is RM228,488,000]. Therefore, net cash inflow would be RM184M (50 + 288 - 94). As mentioned by Wonder, the NA should remain the same except for the RM36M. However, does this proposed revocation increased the bank balance by RM184M. Anyone????

A co. cannot go bankrupt. Insolvency and liquidation yes, but bankrupt, no. Nonetheless, lets assume there is such a thing as a co going bankrupt. If you look at other bursa steel counters, take Lion Corp/Div for eg., both are financially distressed since time immemorial, but their shares are still there to be traded. No worries about HiapTeck!! Moreover, they have positive cash flow from operations. How to go BANKRUPT? The only negative is Eastern Steel (which may turn positive if deals can be struck with Chinaco) but this is sunk cost and had temporary ceased operations. Recovery of advances and investment in Eastern Steel may turn bad, but provisions for impairment is progressively made. Do bear in mind that impairment does not have cash flow effect

Get rid of the entire management and executive staff then only MBSB has a small hope of surviving. My pet dog "Jumbo" and cat "Felix" can do a better job than the entire current management and executives of MBSB. If they don't know how to manage and run a Building Society, what makes you think they know how to run a bank? Just because they are getting a bank licence does not mean that they are going to operate EFFICIENTLY AND PROFITABLY. I hope I am wrong and that they are really superior management. Not too long ago, I went to MBSB to arrange/re-negotiate certain housing loan, talking to the people that increased my blood pressure and I almost puke blood. Fortunately for them, I am only a small little shareholder. Had I been a major shareholder probably I would have requested to see the MD and give him a good telling off!!!!

Work 10 days also don't make money. Better don't work. I have little idea what MNRB's biz is but according to a mate who has been im the insurance line for > 30 years, MNRB is re-insurer. In layman's language, MNRB no need to work. All the insurance co. must work to sell policies and once they get biz, must GIVE a portion of the biz to MNRB and must pay MNRB whether the insurance co collect theirs or not. Meaning that (1) no need to do anything sales automatically comes to their doorstep and (2) no need do anything money goes into MNRB bank automatically. All they need to do is make sure that they don't sailang the bank balance in casino. Of course like all other insurance co. they would need to fork out their portion in the event of insurance claims. Why other insurance co can make money even though they have cost of sales and MNRB make losses even though they have no cost is beyond our simple imaginations. That's why I say, better they don't work that 10 days, then probably MNRB would make profit

Even investment bankers also talk cock. They sit in their nice little office, never been to an oil rig, most probably only involvement in O&G is like me, buy RON95 or RON97, then they write a 5 page report and recommendation!! I am not sure about others, the only thing I know about O&G is that without Ron95 & Ron97 my car can't move. How to give constructive comments. Some looks at lines, bar charts, fengshui, crystal ball, then they say price go up or down. Some just say what they hope the price would be. It's entertainment....LOL

Of course downside is limited....until it reach price reach RM0.005.

I cannot agree that those that follow KYY and lose money are those goreng kaki (gamblers). WHen KYY recommend a particular counter, the price normally goes up. So the goreng kaki who goes in would sell the moment they make their profits. By definition, goreng is very short term, maybe 1 to 5 days or a few days more, definitely not 6 months 1 year. So the gamblers make their money and move to another target. It is those that dun goreng who held on for longer period gets screwed when KYY quietly sells.

The Sig.Shop Offices GDV =RM543M, Park Sky > RM1b, both >95% sold. New 2 block The Park2, don't know how many sold. That is BJC. Construction project, Royale Pav = RM208M, PBD demolition, etc =RM703M. That in total >RM2.4B!!! and does not include the new 2 block, SK One Res (> 95% sold),Pengerang shops. These are projects that have started construction works. Of course there are still those that should be starting soon where we do not know what GDV yet, such as BJ Pavilion Mall and the main structure construction works for Pav PBD. There are still those which we have no idea when it will start/launch but mentioned by Tan Sri in his Chairman's statement in the Annual Report such as UK Spring & Amaya Duta.
