Some penny stocks are back into action today, 1st trading day of 2H 2017....

There is no need to argue. In a quiet market, share price tends to overshoot on the downside by the deliberate (pressing down) action of the operator, esp over the recent listing of
the rights issue shares. Over a longer term, share price would move higher if the fundamentals really improve.

In fact, at this price(below rights issue share price), only weak holders and panic sellers are cutting loss. Whether it is a wise move, only time will tell.

An oversold bounce simply means selling has dried up and the operator just pushes it up without any news flow. Theoretically, the longer it stays consolidated at depressed levels(accumulation phase), the more likely it can rebound higher. Much will depend on the speculative demand and the operator is testing the mkt now.

Immediate resistance at 37.5 sen. Looks set to break it.....

Back to 35.5/36 sen.....opportunities for bargains hunting again.

Finally, good news has come. No wonder operator has stopped churning down since last Friday.

The chart also says it is deeply oversold. All it needs is just some good news to get it out of this zone or a technical rebound.

Of course, operator also wants to sell his collections at a higher price. He will do it at the most opportune times, either followed by positive news flow, improved mkt sentiments or when selling dries up(technical rebound).

If vol is something to go by, this could mean operator has given up churning down at the moment. Let's observe in the next few days what operator is up to.

I even know the past glory and subsequent meltdown about this company(used to be called Harvest Court). Anyway, this company is under a different team of directors. See if there is any substantive change of management.

This is called, "churning". Operator has the tool to churn the vol as much as he likes.

Trading is range bound(31 to 34 sen), which seems to suggest that price has stabilised for now, pending further development on the corporate front.

Look at most steel counters like Prestar Resource, CSC steel Holdings, Choo Bee Metal, are up....

Only this counter is still "waiting"...no push yet...

It should, after operator has cleared contra players jumping in on news that govt extends the steel industry safeguard measures....

Operator has to clear expiring warrant before it becomes worthless. How to do it? None other than pushing up the mother share. The warrant goes up more than the mother share in absolute terms.

Ivory has a warrant that is due to expire in Apr 17. Exercise price is 75 sen per share. Let's see if the price can go up above 75 sen in about 2 months' time to attract conversion.

Yesterday's drop could be attributed to profit taking or a healthy correction in a holiday-shortened week after a good run in the past days. So long as the play on selected property counters continues in the coming days, esp next week, chances are good that it can go higher.

Next quarterly report would shed more light on its potential and likelihood to go higher. Immediate supports are seen at 40 sen and 38 sen respectively.

Like Vivocom Intl, this counter has just too many shares in the mkt. It would be better for the shareholders if the shares are actually consolidated into lesser units. Less shares, easier to push up by the operator.

This counter closed at 36.5 sen, amid an abnormally high vol. It went up sharply in the last 2 days with no apparent reason(based on UMA reply from the company). If this is really the case, it could just be a short-term play by stockists in this liquidity-driven market. Nobody will know for sure when the musical chair will stop. If history is a good guide, it could slowly wind down by the end of next week(before CNY).

While it is good to stay optimistic during the play, a good trader will usually protect his gain(ie trailing profit) and set a stop-loss target.

My trading sytle is always: "Be greedy while others are fearful and be fearful while others are greedy".

I was right to say that 5 sen was a good entry point and even said January could see some play. I wonder how many have actually listened to me.
