I certainly agree that we don't know when the airlines can fly again but what I do know air travels will still be around and Air Asia as the world best airlines for 11 consecutive years in a row will be there when sky is open for air travels. If AA can't survive, then which other airlines can. It may take time for air travel to restart and back to normal again and we don't know exactly when. This is what I refer to as an uncertainty. Any how in investing we look to the future ahead in at the least 6 moths. When the sky is open it is already too late to put your money in !

Double good news: Eden manage to get a 3 years PPA extension to supply power to Sabah Electricity with possible further extension in the future subjects to agreements between parties; and Muhyiddin continue to our PM. Just one more thing: coming opening up of tourism sector is yet another good news for Eden as Eden is also in hospitality and tourism industry.
Expect Eden shares to perform well moving forward.

Yes the big issue is time, when air lines can fly again. For me it is only an uncertainty not a risk as we know sooner or later air travels will restart, especially in in leisure and holiday sectors. Biz travel may be slower to pick up as many biz can be continued to be conducted on line. In fact a big percentage of so called biz travel were not really necessary for conducting biz but more of some kind of perks.

Air Asia has been awarded for 11 years in a row as the world best low cost air line. Certainly it carries some value especially in this competitive service industry and this value as I said earlier is no where written as an asset in the balance sheet. Many other world class companies too even have negative net worth. Don't you think if Air Asia is for sale, the value would most likely to exceed the current value? To run a service biz such as an airline, it take more than just tangible assets such as cash and planes.

The controlling shareholder, Tan Family has already owned more than 60 % of the shares but they are still collecting it. Tanco had been trading for long time at the price of around 5 sen only but the price and volume suddenly from jump up around May 21 this year and continue to be traded actively till now.
As I already mentioned earlier, Tanco owns lands at very strategic locations in KL, PD and Kuantan and these are currently being developed. Why sudden jump in price and volume of Tanco being traded till now? Why the Tan Family still collecting the share although they have more than enough for controlling purpose? Why there are still buyers collecting even at this price level? Only a while ago it was traded around 5 sen only! Probably some of you can guess what can likely to happen going forward.

Amcorp price currently cum dividend of 3 sen. So if you buy at 91 sen, you will receive 3 sen plus 90 sen when you surrender your share for SCR.

TPG, an American private equity group was working with JCorp on privatization plan. TPG is a very big and well known private equity investor and active in healthcare acquisition in this region. In fact TPG and Hong Leong Group have just bought Colombia Asia hospitals.

KPJ compared with other similar healthcare companies is very much unappreciated and undervalued but it is getting attention of some private equity investors. Mind you KPJ has the largest no of hospitals in Malaysia and in addition has hospitals in Indonesia, Thailand and Bangladesh.

Definitely Pestech at the current price is much undervalued. It is well known and respected in the industrial sector Pestech is operating. Many of its investments require heavy capital upfront but will get robust and steady cashflows with little risks in the future.
Pestach also has one of its subsidiaries listed in Cambodia Stock Exchange quite recently. Mind you Cambodia other countries nearby provide excellent opportunities for growth of Pestech.

Putting a value to a company is a highly subjective exercise and very much depend on the methodology and assumptions used and the purpose of the valuation exercise. Each of us have no choice but to make our assessment for the valuation that is suitable for our need or purpose.
Never simply take whatever the recommendation produced by any body including or rather specially by analysts attached to a brokerage or banks for they have their own purposes and agendas that may be different or not in line from yours.

Value of a company to a controlling shareholder is certainly higher than that to minority shareholders. For a full control the value is even higher as you can see that when plc are taken private are normally done at a good premium.
In the case of MMC, if the offer at RM 2 fails for whatever reason, the share price will most likely to drop back from current price. In fact the price of MMC shares were trading well below RM 1 before the market get the wind of a possible privatization.

If AA can not survive, then which other airlines in the similar sector can survive? Those airlines that cater mainly to leisure and holiday travels will do very well due to pent up demand, less competitions and cheaper operating cost. Biz travels will recover slower as many biz can continue to be transacted on line and hence those airlines that cater to premium/biz will be slower to recover and may not even reach to the levels pre pandemic.

Virtually most of the income come from maintaining plant availability, and very little from power generation. Whether the plant is generating power or not, the IPP owner will still get paid substantially according to the agreement provided the plant is ready to generate power.

Even if there is lock down in Vietnam, it won't affect the operation of power plants as power generation is a very crucial and essential service.

The intrinsic value of Cypark is definitely way above PP price of 90 sen. Cypark price was probably being depressed to get the price of placement shares as low as possible since only certain well connected people are offered. This is very unfair to existing shareholders especially when the issue is big percentage wise. Cypaark should have done rights issue, which is fair to all even to those who don't want to subscribe as they can always sell their entitlement.
Cypark market price could have certainly performed much better if not for too many PP including this current 20% and ESOS priced and repriced way below market. ESOS is supposed to provide incentives to the employees but where is the incentive then if ESOS is repriced much below market price? It only provide incentive for Directors/controlling shareholders to sell the shares that they already owned and replaced them with cheaper shares via ESOS for quick and guaranteed gains. This kind of ESOS in fact encourage bad behaviors at the cost to minority shredders.
