I usually trade technically (EMA cross and, importantly, Bollinger bands). Technically Ucrest is neither overbought nor oversold. Eg. Bollinger showed ALCOM was oversold hence good rebound yesterday

Just a hunch : Those behind the entire Fintec web of manipulated counters will be, or already are, targeting Ucrest. I even did my research and told my remisier well before The Edge published their “hidden hands behind penny stocks” article”. This is what those buggers do. Be conservative, be defensive when it comes to this counter

Py1818, you seem to respect rr88. Note that in my past experience in one stock, he promoted and he sold and then he laughed at those still holding

If no patience and depending on your cashflow, don’t invest/trade the stock market. Go buy a RM50k low-cost flat somewhere (or many RM50k low cost flats.... location, location, location); you own property and just do the same thing ie. Watch TV

Stock investing is not gambling. Sometimes it’s better to invest in good fundamental stocks with low volume. Quick buck? Then follow high volume trend

Hidden stock gems are there to be found. Try not to follow “trending stocks” too much. Remember AC/DC’s Thunderstruck song? It sounds great in its original version with bass, drums and guitars

Kfliau, I don’t think it’s fair to call Stephen (or anyone else) a liar; it was your choice to follow him.

The most important think in trading/investing is risk management. Buy what you can hold as long as you believe in that stock.

Eg. I bought Awantec around middle of March last year (won’t tell you the price but you can guess if you check its chart) when it was near its bottom due to MCO. I know the company, met with their top execs and their Dr Abu.

I then saw it climb gradually.

Then I saw it crash at the start of Sept last year, all the way down due to bad news/announcement. Never sold. I believed in the company, still do.

Even when its operators (and it clearly has operators at work) pushed it up to its recent high of 1.28, I didn’t sell. In fact I had collected more from the time I first bought in March last year. Datuk Tong started buying Awantec last month. I own more of Awantec than him (if his weekly The Edge portfolio is true)

I didn’t sell because I didn’t need to. That’s my risk management.

A light that burns twice as bright burns half as long. Manage your risk. Anything above RM1 is a huge bonus to minority shareholders. And they are just waiting and waiting.....
