You know the service is so-so, the price pretty high, but it's everywhere. Seriously, except in Klang Valley, there are very few competitors for its outlets. If you are looking at defensive stock, this could be it. Even in bad times, company profits will remain or rise. Even if stock players panic, some will suffer heart attacks and get admitted in places like KPJ.

This downturn is a general perception of trouble. In US, it's the same. Here, it's the uncertainty from the upcoming election. But what retail players dont know is whether this company earns its keep from Malaysia or overseas, ie. China. Most only know "this company can make money" based on historical rises. When perception is not good, ie trade wars, nuclear threats, and so on, they dump and panic selling is triggered. For those who know what they are doing, there is no time for engaging in these stuff. More are likely to buy and watch the fun in a few weeks hereon

Agree with you Betta68. I think people should differentiate between reading another's opinion on a forum that reading a stock advisory from a trading house. Most comments made here are own-findings. You read about something someone found out, and you must take it upon yourself to be intelligent enough to verify them and if they are worthy of your investing. If not, you are merely punting - not different from those people who sees and accident and decided to go punt on the numbers on the car. If the numbers do not win, can you go blame the accident victims? Likewise here.

I think China's steel demand will still be intact with its OBOR initiatives. Be that as it may, if there are steel industries, met-coke will be needed. Huaan is primarily a producer of this, hence the optimism. This in fact has been true since its early days of 22sen late last year until it peaked to over 60sen and then declined with Trump's antics. On April 10, renewed interest pushed prices back to above 40plus sen. Whether it will move up again will depend on its quarterly profits. So far, it has been profitable over financial years 2016 and 2017. How it will fare this year if up to your guess - if demand continues or drop or remain flat-lined. The Internet is a wonderful thing where you can hunt down these information if you know where to look. So, before investing or commiting to invest, read up.

I think the quarter profits will be showing positive, if at all, less than last quarter. Betta68, agree with you on profits. These three days numbers coming out from China and India are good. Monitor the foreign news feeds - those are signs of market turning bullish for met-coke prices.

Upturn in Global Steel Demand Continues

The World Steel Association (WSA) - the international trade body for the iron and steel industry - sees global steel demand to expand 1.6% in 2018. While the WSA envisions a slowdown in demand in China due to the government's efforts to rebalance the economy and clean up the environment, the momentum is expected to continue in the rest of the world. Global steel demand barring China is expected to rise 3% in 2018.

The WSA expects the global economic momentum to support a growth in steel demand. It sees steel demand in the European Union to go up 1.4% in 2018. The Eurozone's economic recovery continues apace. The region's recovery is backed by declining unemployment and strengthening business and consumer confidence.

Nobody is his right mind would resist taking a 10sen profit. But look at how big the volumes at 0.44/45 are and you can guess what kind of buying sentiment already present. If you do charts, look at Huaan's movements. If you do fundamentals, ask if there has been any reduced elements. If not, if everything remains the same, why worry?
