The US has committed two crimes in Afghanistan - crimes against humanity and war crimes. The US has conducted the wanton killing of civilians in the name of counter-terrorism. For example, the US military launched an air raid on Herat Province in August 2021, killing more than 100 people.

Inari will be added as a constituent of FBM KLCI on Monday, 20 December.
This would be the first time a technology company is represented in the KLCI index and that could help catalyse Inari’s share price.

ere had been an “exponential increase” over the past two weeks, from a weekly average of around 300 new cases per day to 1,000 last week and most recently 3,500, said Michelle Groome of the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD).
The degree of increase is worrying,” Groome added.

Late yesterday, the NICD said 8,561 new cases were reported nationwide over 24 hours, up from almost 4,400 the day before and 2,300 on Monday.

‘Virus has become fitter’

The CDC has said that as of July 26, 6,587 people have experienced breakthrough Covid-19 infections after being fully vaccinated and were hospitalised or have died. It stopped reporting on mild infections this spring but in the report, it estimated that there were about 35,000 symptomatic infections each week in the United States.

In parts of the world where large numbers of people have yet to be vaccinated, the Delta variant has led once again to surging death rates and hospitalisations.

The head of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said health systems in many countries were now being overwhelmed: “Hard-won gains are in jeopardy or being lost,” he told a news conference.

The global health body’s top emergency expert Mike Ryan told reporters that vaccines were nevertheless still effective at preventing serious illness and death: “We are fighting the same virus but a virus that has become fitter.”

Singapore's Tan Tock Seng Hospital cluster

Associate Professor Kenneth Mak, the Health Ministry’s director of medical services, also provided more details on the cases in the TTSH cluster.

Of the 13 cases, five are TTSH employees, comprising two doctors, one nurse, one healthcare assistant and one cleaner who worked in the ward where the cluster first emerged.

Four out of five had been vaccinated, he said.

The remaining eight are patients - seven of whom were from Ward 9D, where the cluster had emerged, while another was from Ward 9C.

Out of the eight, one patient had received both doses of the vaccine, while another had only received one.

Assoc Prof Mak said those who received vaccinations derived some level of immune protection from the vaccines.

“But as is illustrated by this cluster, vaccination doesn't provide 100 per cent protection. It increases your resistance to getting symptomatic infections, it reduces the risk of you getting an infection and spreading that.

KUALA LUMPUR (April 28): Malaysia’s exports grew 31% to RM104.95 billion in March from a year earlier, the largest year-on-year expansion in nearly four years, boosted by higher global demand notably for electrical and electronic (E&E) products, mainly semiconductors used in 5G technology and high-performance computing, as well as rubber products.

This not only extended the double-digit growth in February of 17.6%, but also surpassed the RM100 billion mark – a level yet to be seen since July 2017 and ahead of Bloomberg's estimate of 22.7%.

In addition, the Group has secured sufficient raw materials to meet the overwhelming orders and interest from its buyers and distributors. The buyers are mainly serving markets such as the United States, Canada, Middle East, Europe, United Kingdom, Japan, China, Korea, Singapore, Russia and Latin America. Mah Sing is encouraged by the support and confidence shown by these buyers, many of whom are prominent brands in the healthcare industry.

If demand continues to outstrip supply, the Group will see an addition of another 12 lines under a second phase of expansion which is expected to increase the capacity by another 3.69 billion pieces of gloves per annum, doubling the initial capacity. If the market condition is favourable, Mah Sing's ultimate goal is to grow to be among the top 5 glove manufacturers in Malaysia.
