The Board of Directors of GETS ("Board") wishes to announce that the Board has on 30 November 2020 received a notice of the Offer ("Notice") from UOB Kay Hian Securities (M) Sdn Bhd on behalf of the Joint Offerors, to acquire all the remaining ordinary shares in GETS not already held by the Joint Offerors at a cash consideration of RM0.55 per Offer Share.


A copy of the Notice is enclosed in this announcement and the same will be posted to the holders of the Offer Shares within 7 days from the date of this announcement.

This announcement is dated 30 November 2020.

BEIJING (Aug 17): China's vaccine specialist CanSino Biologics Inc has won a patent approval from Beijing for its COVID-19 vaccine candidate Ad5-nCOV, state media reported, citing documents from the country's intellectual property regulator.

It is the first COVID-19 vaccine patent granted by China, state-owned newspaper People's Daily reported on Sunday.

The paper cited documents published by China's National Intellectual Property Administration saying that the patent was issued on Aug. 11.

Saudi Arabia said this month it plans to begin Phase III clinical trials for the CanSino vaccine. CanSino has said it is also in talks with Russia, Brazil and Chile to launch Phase III trials in those countries.

CanSino's Hong Kong shares rose around 14% in Monday's morning session. Its Shanghai shares rose by 6.6% as of midday.

BEIJING, Aug 16 (Xinhua): An inactivated Covid-19 vaccine candidate developed by China is safe and generates an immune response, according to data from clinical trials published in The Journal of the American Medical Association this week.

The research paper provided an interim analysis of the phase-1 and phase-2 clinical trials of an inactivated Covid-19 vaccine developed by the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products under the China National Biotec Group (CNBG), affiliated to Sinopharm, and the Wuhan Institute of Virology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
