better selloff the warrants before too late

I agree with Davis. I attended the MNRB AGM too. The Board did mention (unofficially) to resume dividend payout of 50%. Assuming they can achieve 5sen per Q, or 20sen per year, then we can expect 10sen dividend or 9% yield. Not a bad beat

Given the recent strengthening of Ringgit, better stay away the export counters. As for PH-WB, I have cut loss due to tangan gatar on expectation of excellent results at year end. Anyway, no more surprises other then normal dividend moving forward.
the warrants should trade 2 sen discount again the mother share as the company already announce to give 2 sen dividend. And, if you include the brokerage fee and all other fees, the 2 sen different also not worth to convert....should sell off warrants and buy mother share. it is easier n more efficient. I also never convert warrants before. Any of you guys here did it ? How to do ?

clearing warrants...now buy in mother shares.....sit tight for the dividend lah. Don't see any good prospect in 2020...collecting dividend is a safe bet

It is super low for mother share. Agree. NTA also RM1.63. And most important, it sits on net cash (less bank loan) of RM0.54/share. Will buy mother to get dividend

In short....these 2 para explain everything...it is 1 off....should be ok.....7sen dividend is at the lower end...but they have also declared additional 1 sen which is not include in the 7 sen. (The 1 sen is for year 2020)....so, we still get 8 sen in total lah....at least same level with previous few years...this is only the comfort I can get.
"In Vietnam, gross profit was lower marginally at RM16.09 million as compared to RM17.25 million previously due mainly to the higher depreciation charges against a lower raw material cost. In line with lower gross profit, profit before tax was lower at RM9.43million compared to RM11.60 million in the previous corresponding reporting period ended 31 October 2018. The lower profit before tax was mainly due to the increase in marketing expenses of about RM1.03 million and the increase in administrative expenses of RM0.84 million."
"During the current financial year, we recorded a significantly lower net other income of RM1.41 million compared to RM8.52 million in the previous financial year. The higher other income in the previous financial year comprised mainly the recovery of RM4.50 million previously impaired for the disposal of our former subsidiary, Poh Huat Furniture Industries (Qingdao) Co Ltd in 2011 and insurance compensation of RM4.28 million received for the fire at one of the factories in Malaysia. Meanwhile, the de-registration and the ceasing of the Company’s 51% owned Poh Huat International Furniture S.A (Proprietary) Limited mentioned in Note A10 above, has also resulted an one-off realisation of forex translation loss of RM0.92 million during the current financial year."

The receivables mainly due from their sales agent or customers pending loan approval. Generally, the default is low. Because you will not get the car even u paid the downpayment, must wait for loan approved.

It is "offer" last day. buy today and can entitle the Dividend Reinvestment Plan of RM1.01 share per share. Assume you buy today at RM1.15 and assume it adjust toward RM1.12 tomorrow. You may sell the shares (not all please....only dividend amount you entitle divided by RM1.01) at RM1.12 and company will "return" you the share. The arbitrage profit here is RM1.12 - RM1.01 per share...

Why they don't declare 3 sen directly at their recent results announcement ? So, we can expect 2 sen in Nov and 1 sen in Jan. Anyway, it is a good news. and we can expect it will declared at least full 8 sen per year from now, given their results could be much better than last year.
A caution to warrants holders - it is "proven" that the warrants price will always trading in par or at some discount against mother shares. Because warrants holders will not entitle the dividend (now is 3 sen). Market has participated on the discount and will always trade 3 sen discount against the mother shares. Should switch to mother shares if possible, unless its discount is more than 3 sen.
Mother shares will adjust by 2 sen on 30/10 and 1 sen on 13/12 due to the ex-date of the dividend.

Have attended yesterday AGM. Feel more confidence on the Chairman and the CEO. Both of them can answer shareholders' challenging questions well. Chairman can explain well his strategy to differentiate themselves with the competitors (especial Proton X70) through more safety features (he has using a technical wording but I can't recall) and connectivity in the car. He claims they are rather pioneer in incorporating those features in the car. He also updates us that the electricity car is not something new in Mazda, but may not practical in Asean market, which still focus on fuel efficiency.

I have to admit that I make a mistake in LiiHen. I take profit too early. Anyway, wish all existing shareholders all the best and stay with the company.

@Fabien, what's your value on PH ?
2019-09-26 11:06 | Report Abuse
Given the recent rather weakening of Ringgit (at RM/USD at 4.19 level compare to 4.15 level previously) + trade war (trade diversion), furniture sector should be in good position. What is fair value is multi-million question. On average it is at PE of 7x to 10x. Should Poh Huat continue to pay dividend (like LiiHen and Homeritz), Conservatively, it should valued at RM1.68 (based on PE of 7x at EPS of 24sen).
Technically, most selling (or profit taking) are almost over, witnessed but its rather low valoum for the last 2 days. whatever buying now is for longer term trade now. To me, it is time to load up or buy now at RM1.53.

Government claim for 2% compensation while Prestariang claim 9%. As usual, take average lah...say 6% lah...amount to 500 to 600 mil lah...you guys work out the cash per share / EPS impact. Thanks
2019-09-26 10:21 | Report Abuse
It is clear now government is "wrong", but just want further nego to reduce the claim amount (or giving excuse of inappropriate formula was used to derive the damage). To me it is a very positive move. Since they prefer to settle out of court, meaning both government and Prestariang are willing to sit down and talk, and most likely to continue the SKIN with reduced scope and cost. It is a win-win to all stakeholders.
Chart wise, it is hovering the bottom for sometime, and trading at tight range of 45 sen level. Downside risk could cap at 42sen, but upside almost unlimited. Good try for short term trade.

@anti_otb. I think we need to respect the market. It is "proven" that the warrants is trading at 2sen (theoretically) discount against the mother shares, due to its coming 2 sen dividend on 30/10. We should continue take profit (or avoid) warrants if trading within 2 sen discounts against the mother shares. Given its rather high price level, we should take profit anyway. No point to hold long term for warrants. If really want to have position in warrants, then wait to buy after 30/10. Because the share price will "adjust" 2 sen downward on 30/10.
Again, BUY on rumour and SELL on fact still prevail in the market.

@anti_otb. Good idea. Why I never think of it ? Don't argue. Haha. Anyway, my exposure to furniture stocks (Poh Huat, LiiHen, Homeritz) could last toward end of Dec. Personally (just gut feeling, no proper justification), market may be in a perfect storm next year. Hold more cash....

I believed most of you guys have read its latest results, I am not going to repeat here. In short, its cumulative EPS has reached 16.3sen. Let's assume this coming 4th quarter will perform the same as per 4th quarter of last year (at EPS of 9.5 sen). We can expect its full year EPS to record 25.8sen. Give "discount" a bit, to 24 sen lah as per @Fabien. Even at low PE valuation of 7x, we should expect price to reach RM1.68. Given recent trade war benefit, both AM and TA research has revised its PE target to 10x. Again, we "discount" a bit to 9x lah. We should expect a target price of RM2.16. Aiyaa....discount some more lah...target price to reach RM2.00 or another 27% growth toward Xmas (where Poh Huat will announce its final quarter results then). I don't see any reason not to long with this stock, given its net cash position of RM93 mil or 42sen cash per share. the only "problem" is this company a bit stingy to reward shareholders (payout at 25%) as compare to LiiHen and Homeritz (around 40~50%).
Given its coming 2 sen dividend, it is not advisable to buy into its warrants, and the warrants should consistently trade 2 to 3 sen discount against its mother given the fact that warrants holders will not entitle the dividend and the warrants is expiring Oct next year. Don't forget that the mother share price will adjust downward by the dividend amount after 30/10 (ex-date).
Good Luck !

Anyway, just note the director start buying shares at RM1.35 ~ RM1.36. Should worth to buy and keep for possible higher dividend in view of strengthening of USD/RM
