OSK188 server is down again for two days. Totally unacceptable. Im still keeping them, but only for foreign trading. Does anyone know any other broker houses that allow for foreign trading? OSK only has NYSE, NASDAQ, HKEX, SGX.

strong performance, good fundamentals, but why no divvy

this is the reason why reits are trading low at the moment. when bond yields drops it will be too late too buy.

if anyone wants to share good news about their fave shares, stick to that particular share's forum. dont spam and contaminate other threads and invite unnecesarry blue/red flags. please, its embarassing.

i was also monitoring this company, but got put off by their unclear investments business and highly erratic earnings. Also the lack of a regular divvy.

Just wait for the nezt earnings report in Nov. Profits could double, and asset increase through land purchase still not recorded.

'Fair valuation Gain' is registered as a form of earnings for a REIT. If you look at KLCC the valuation gain is also about 10% (and included as earnings). As to whether Pavreit has potential or not, this obviously depends on one's individual opinions.

Marco has increased 68.42% in 5 years. with a stable business and divvy around 15% I say its a good, although not spectacular, investment.

at the moment pavreit only has 2 properties - pav mall (97% property income) and pav tower (3%). Being new (listed Dec 2011), earnings and therefore divvy are limited (5.5%).
Sunreit is more established, with many, many more properties. but look at some figures here:
PAVREIT - NAV/share 1.13, EPU 0.21, MER 0.68, Property yield 6.11%, Prop value growth 10.8%
SUNREIT - NAV/share 1.20, EPU 0.10, MER 0.82, Property yield 5.96%, Prop value growth 3.36%
In conclusion - BOTH are good REITS, PAV has more potential for growth, and SUNREIT more established.

Lowest gearing ratio among retail reits. Also lowest PE at 6.4. Growth coming soon from Farenheit and USJDamen.

if you look at Coldeye's portfolio as posted, many counters there have actually very low or negative ROE - KESM, KimHin, Kretam, EAH, ChooBee, MSC, NCB, facbind. Not walking the talk?

sure, clothings are part of our daily needs. unfortunately PADINI does not hold a monopoly over them. ;)

as much as i would like to support a home-grown brand, i am not confident of their resilience in the face of a competition of this nature.

over the long run, can padini take on uniqlo and h&m? what are their advantages? the two brands are also expanding aggressively.

Anybody has done a detailed comparison on Brokerage? From my own research, all of them offer pretty much the same rates. but because they are packaged differently one is given the impression that some are lower than the others.

was using Maybank, fed up with their service. Now using OSK, but got frustrated with their persistent downtime. Recently signed up with Mplus but their display panel looks horrible.

ROE the last five years only around 5%, with profit margin a paltry 4%. Quick ratio below 1. Price has remained roughly the same since mid 2009. There is always a reason why the share price appears cheap.

last Q profit dropped 55% and 20% from corresponding Q. The only 'entitlement' they ever declared in history was a rights issue. Super buy??

its called share buyback, not insider trading, lol. sorry to know you didnt get to buy earlier. but when a special dividend or bonus issue is declared ....

Despite the price this counter is still trading at PE 9, and P/B of 1.40. ROE is above 15% and div above 6%. Why does it need to drop?

A few penny stocks i notice, particularly those of ICT/electronics seem to show good financials, but still trading cheaply. I wonder why this is so? Could they actually be overlooked, or their business models are risky/not understood? E.g UMSNGB, SCICOM, ELSOFT, FIBON, FIAMMA, MMODE, EFORCE, CBSA, WILLOW
2013-09-20 10:06 | Report Abuse
Even if you know what they buy and sell you can't read clearly their intentions. I was told that their funds are handled by different managers so although some selling, some of them could be buying the same stock. Also, they try to mask(confuse)their buying and selling as to not influence the market.

now that im using Mplus i realise the research section has tonnes more useful info and data than OSK, they are faster to load, and are organised in a better way. it also has online payment, which OSK doesn't.
only Mplus' display is not as clear and sharp as OSK's.
