Under current worldwide market conditions, this is likely a bear market rally...

Wow...been away 2 months....really back to pre pandemic price! Was 1.30 when Covid strike ....65sen after the share split....

Near pre Covid level already....was 1.30 (65sen) before taking off.

Price before the Covid wave was 1.30. After the 1 for 1 bonus, the pre Covid price is 65sen. So still some distance to go.

But to be fair, the pre Covid prices was between 1.20 to up to 3.00, so if valuation remains same as pre-Covid, should fluctuate between 60sen to 1.50.

Someone entering at current price has a good chance of staying afloat. Those holding from highs of course are in severe paper loss...

So it depends on where you are at the moment....

My original starting point was 1.40 (pre bonus). So if it drops to 70sen, I buy all back...lol

Well, when the west (especially USA) cannot compete, they use "labour abuse" (any labour cheaper than their own labour cost is "abuse") to justify ban.

However if they don't have any parallel industry to compete (eg iPhone manufacture) they are quite happy to use "abuse" (ie cheap) labour elsewhere to enjoy cheap goods.

Flat today. Nobody taking any position before Christmas.

Of course there are long term investors here. But if you have any common sense, you would have cashed out long ago. At this point, just wait for it to drop to normal pricing and re-enter.

Long term investors can also be trading when there are opportunities. Been doing that, but have now sold almost all my shares, and will wait for bottom to buy back.

Ok, I am almost completely out, except a few bonus odd shares which I am keeping, since they are free and I have been with supermax since the early 2000s after latexx was taken private. Will re-enter once it drops below RM1 (pre bonus RM2).

Nevertheless, it was a good run. I originally expected it to drop to pre-covid by end of last year, but the bull run ran for another year, albeit the tail was long, and trapping many....

It's still RM2.70 pre-share split, so if sales/demands are back to pre-covid level, it's still high for the counter compared to 1.50-2.00 fluctuations pre-covid.

It's still Rm3 pre Covid price, which is still the high end of normal fluctuations the last 10 years.

Whole market big red, gloves red banks also red....

Before the pandemic, it was trading about 65s to just over a ringgit (1.30 - 3.00 before various bonus issues in the past), so when asp and demand returns to normal, add in the increased capacities since, and you get an idea of what the normal prices will be again.

Don't know how to make chicken rice money in a volatile market? Doesn't matter up or down trend. No wonder joker...lol

March 2020 price? Just checked my records. Bought at 1.42. That's current post share split price of 71sen. I am still in the money!! Lol.

The only reason I am still trying trading for chicken rice money is my original cost is very low....those entering fresh now.....Genting style....lol

So fast recover and straight away take profit...missed it....so short....

And like usual, over corrects and open below the adjusted price....

Price reset now to 2.95....RM3 base broken....

Too low to sell now, just hope it will buck the trend and not over correct tomorrow.

At current price of 3.14, it's actually 2.99 plus 15 Sen dividend. Already below the psychological barrier of 3.

LearningLearning Can Sifus please advise since Ex-date is 9/9, if sell on the 8/9 before closing, will we be entitled to the dividend or not.

Sell on 8/9, no dividend....buyer gets it....

But on opening on 9/9, previous day closing price automatically adjusted 15sen lower ....

Usually it goes up that day ex dividend....but spx over the last year gets a sell down on fact....

That's why undecided whether to sell before and bet it overshoots down on 9/9 to buy back....

Still stuck at a narrow band....so how guys? sell now and buy back after dividend?....likely overshoot the correction....like before....

No lah. You get 15sen dividend, so it's neutral after the 15sen drop on the 9/9....the worry is, often it drops more than 15sen after dividend....

Not moving. Have to decide by 8/9....keep or sell....as on 9/9 it will open 15sen lower....what to do??
