There will be a whole lot of Christmas and CNY baking in the weeks ahead, i.e. increased demand for sugar! Buy!!

Wow.. what a superb day for gloves!! I managed to sell some TG and Harta. Could've made a lot more if I did not sell that portion of Harta at ex-date and that portion of TG before the deep dive 3 weeks ago *KICKING MYSELF LEFT RIGHT AND CENTRE!!!!** Anyways...... Thankfully I still have Kossan, which I managed to buy at 2.00 level, and at this moment, it's still below ex-date price of RM2.30 so in my opinion, is the most value for money glove stock to buy!! Exactly what bang miskin said!! Pls do your own due diligence before you buy or sell ok! :)

Will queue to buy at 1.55 thereabout.

EPF so silly, disposed at such low prices!!

Agree.. Gtronic led the way.. a few days later JHM followed suit. I bought back some today anyway. I have faith in this company and like I said previously I see value at the current price. As long as there's no bad news LOL!

gtronic best friend now is jhm.hopefully not ataims
2021-11-25 19:44 | Report Abuse
Nobody knows what attributed to the sharp drop in recent days. Exclusion from whatever index can't cause such a drastic drop, can it? The waterfall pattern is similar to ATAIMS, so that's scary. Anyway, hope it's sentiment related and nothing more.
2021-11-25 16:42 | Report Abuse
Looking at ATA IMS, I get very worried for Gtronic. Bought at 1.68 yesterday, sold 1.73 today. Wait and see first before buying back. If there's no issue with the business, this is actually a value buy in my opinion.

@Anxious Tenaga is a downtrending stock. I've done many transactions on this stock in the last few months.. highest I sold was at 10.5++ before dividend was announced despite IB's target price of RM12++, and thank God I did because it came back down to RM9.8++ very quickly after I sold... which reiterated what bang miskin said about not trusting IB's TP. LOL!
I bought back when it was at RM9.8+, collected the 22c dividend, and sold everything slightly above cost. Recently when it reached its 52-wk low of RM9.50, I bought 30 lots... and now.... down again it goes. I will wait to buy more. You'll be tying your cash down if you buy Tenaga but if you buy at the right price, as with every stock on Bursa, it can be very rewarding.
Posted by Anxious > Nov 25, 2021 2:04 PM | Report Abuse
Bang Miskin, What do you think about Tenanga?
It hit 52 week low today at RM9.40.
I think Quarterly results out soon.
Plus news they took a 3 billion loan. Heavy in borrowing.
2021-11-25 14:26 | Report Abuse
from ex-date price of RM5.52 to lowest of RM4.97 on 23 Nov, that's exactly 10% drop as what I've anticipated. But seeing how Kossan fell by 15% after ex-date, I am not overly optimistic the worse is over for Harta. Anyway I am still waiting to buy back what I sold on ex-date, so I would like to see it come down lower before climbing up. I think @Anxious feels the same way ya? :)
Posted by bang_miskin > Nov 25, 2021 10:07 AM | Report Abuse
@Anxious My gut feeling tells me that the sell-off since the last ex-date has subside. But is it over (will we revisit RM5 this week)? Hard to say. Right now there is a sell-off in all top4. Why? I don't really know, probably has to do with poor market sentiment.
2021-11-23 18:42 | Report Abuse
How's everyone doing? Any of you bought at the RM5 level? I bought a small amt because I'm impatient LOL! But I'm really waiting to buy more at 4.80-4.90 or lower. Waiting is hard for someone who lacks patience!

@i3lurker You got me. I'm learning the ancient art of reading tea leaves and coffee grounds. :)
2021-11-20 23:43 | Report Abuse
@i3lurker the reason boils down to common sense. Instead of 3 sen, I would've lost 12 sen by now if I had not sold. Conversely, if I buy now (but I'm not about to), and the price climb back up to my original buy price, I would've gained 12 sen. Offset the previous 3 sen loss, I still would've gained 9 sen. Why lose more money than you have to, even if you don't need the money? Then again, who don't need money? LOL!
Now, can you kindly explain what you meant by "jail term insider trading"?
2021-11-20 15:55 | Report Abuse
I believe Kossan is near its bottom, if not already at its bottom. Just my personal opinion.
2021-11-20 15:45 | Report Abuse
So glad I sold at 3.15, lost 3 sen only.. otherwise now would've incurred a much greater loss. Looks like we can get GenM for cheaper next week as from the chart, it appears to be revisiting the trend of April 2021

I say let the price drop lah to whatever level the JPM is willing for it to go to. Then it has a good chance of moving up. What comes down MUST go back up. That’s the eternal truth of the stock market. Especially applicable to fundamentally sound companies. Don’t tell me once RM4 is reached, which is already pre Nov 2017 price, they’re going to downgrade to RM2? Who would believe them at that point? Might as well declare that we will have snow!

@Stocksafeplayer To your question: “would Msian glove companies enjoy similar demands if future pandemics attack us again?”, my answer is a resounding yes. But let’s not talk about future pandemics just yet. The fact is we are still going through the current one with some respites in between, all over the world. Even Malaysia is at risk of a new wave. Again, that is a fact, not me willing for the pandemic to persist ok. JPM did not seem to take this into account when they concluded that Harta along with the others are going back to pre-pandemic demands, profit margin, Asp etc. - which I am not even sure I can agree with but let’s assume that will happen eventually… is it going to happen in the next 3 months? Not likely right? Meanwhile their cash balances will only get stronger, which translates to good dividends for their shareholders and hopefully, stock price gains as well. Once we have reached the bottom of this senseless carnage that is. Here’s to hoping :)

@bang_miskin, isn't it amazing that even with the negative Covid news coming out of Europe these few days, gloves continue to fall with dogged determination? It's like everyone just don't care anymore and just sell sell sell!! Surely the return of the pandemic will translate to greater glove demand and will boost sales in the coming months, in not already at this point in time? Don't shoot me for saying this...I am not willing the pandemic to persist, but merely stating a fact. We'll need to see this in the subsequent QR of glove companies.. if what I said is true, then perhaps only then the gloves will start moving up decisively - for a while at least. Also, did JPM take these new Covid waves (which translates to strong demand) into account in their analysis. I don't see it being mentioned anywhere in the Edge article. Hmmm....

@bang_miskin @Anxious: Kossan's ex price was RM2.30. Lowest price reached after ex (to date) was RM1.95 --> 15% drop. I'm using this as a guide for buying back the Harta shares that I sold on ex date.

@bang_miskin just like how you did the kaki lima analisis on Harta's QR based on Kossan's, I think it's safe to do the same for its stock price after ex-date...

Looks like RM5 came sooner than I thought. Initially I thought Harta is doing okay compared to the other top4. Now Harta is joining the rest of the top4.

Yes. In this market, how many are actually making money on bursa? Even recovery stocks are badly hit. It's not as if only gloves are performing poorly.

@Stocksafeplayer As if no change isn't bad enough, with these PAS politicians, the country is going down the drain, from bad to worse. What you said about democracy = majority votes = who the majority are.... is indeed sad, but so true. Sigh!
Ps. So much for jolynce bringing positivity to this forum @Calvin882 Haha!

Same here.. I have lowered my entry price as well. Since most people believe in JPM's TP, no point fighting it and losing more money going against the trend. Might as well wait it out and buy at the price close to their TP.
Posted by Anxious > Nov 19, 2021 11:05 AM | Report Abuse
I've lower my TP for next batch at RM4.80 to bring down my average price to RM7.80.
This is in view of its rapid fall over the past few days and JP Morgan's recent downgrade to RM4.00.

I know what you mean. My stock investments in Sg are seeing good profits. Here, the market is sp badly manipulated and our politicians are constantly sabotaging our economy. It's such a sad sad situation.. when will this change?

I earned more in SG market than Bursa … thanks stable Sing Dollars and more highly educated politicians there…
Funny when at school, parents n teachers always said in order to be a leader, must do well at school (study hard not good enough). Today I feel my daily life here is led by many more stupxd politicians compared to me… wonder why…

2021-11-18 17:58 | Report Abuse
EPF very clever lor.. they knew of JPM downgrades way before us.. so kept selling. So much manipulation going on.
2021-11-18 17:57 | Report Abuse
@Anxious why not. On the one hand, you’ll bring down your cost significantly, on the other hand you’ll receive more dividend. Harta is not some “chaplang” company afterall right?

@Calvin thank you hehehe. I try not to dwell on problems, but think of solutions - how to turn my loss into profit, when to buy and sell and switch stocks to minimize loss and maximize profits. I enjoy reading perspectives and analysis from mature and well informed individuals like you, and bang miskin, and Anxious, to help me in that process. Hang in there all of us, with patience and a bit of luck, we’ll be rewarded. Hopefully :)

Anxious, at least we have spending money coming into our bank account every quarter. If the same amount of money is placed in FD, it will remain in FD anyway, but with very very little interest.

@YourQuirkyWays29 My average cost is 6.60 and I started buying Harta when it was priced at RM10. Yes, it's been a long and windy journey. It's a fact that when you ask investors in glove stocks what's their average cost, 9.5/10 are still incurring a loss. Everytime I managed to bring my cost down, gloves got hit by bad news, repeat that several times, I'm kinda numb to it already. LOL! Malaysian stock market is highly manipulated.. it's no coincidence that the latest JPM downgrade is happening at this time when RSS are working hard to cover their position before the year is out.

Since Tan Sri want to bring down his average cost, I'm sure he'd want to do the next SBB at the lowest price possible. Do you think this JPM attack is to his benefit too?
2021-11-18 13:53 | Report Abuse
If you're Tan Sri, will you do SBB now, which is akin to catching a falling knife, or will you wait till the panic sellers have left, and buy at a cheaper price?

Sigh sigh sigh...RM4. So unthinkable, yet possible like bang miskin said. What the hell lah. The only consolation for me is that I sold a big portion of my holding yesterday at ex-price, so from previous 40%, Harta now makes up 25% of my portfolio. Need to have patience to wait for the right time to buy back to reduce my average cost. psssttt.. Top Glove is my bigger headache now!! LOL!!
