this young man choi worried IPP lose money....
corporate finance is worried how to complete the deal.....
u see...huge difference between book man and practical men.....
actually not true....previously I just keep quiet.....but even old man sifu that KC from NZ missed the main point in all his writings about Jaks......
actually old man KC not any smarter not any better than young man choi.

Old man KC? All of us grow old. And I don't think you are younger than me.

You kept quiet? It is because you don't know much about Jaks power plan, besides shouting sailang and margin from RM150+.

I missed the main point? What point. You don't even have the faintest idea what the main point is to invest in Jaks.

How are you t compare with me? You are just thousands light years behind.

How are you comapred with Choivo?

You can't even smell his fart, although you are 40 years older and a self-claimed "accountant". Serious, you are thousand miles behind him in knowledge, experience and in humility.

less than 5% , only way to go is up...
like that also need me to tell u meh?
French generals like to fight the last war...smart people fights the present war.

Why did you tell everyone here to sailang and margin Jaks at RM1.50+ 6 months ago, repeatedly, relentlessly? That time the one you PLP owns 32%+, wasn't he?

Oh, just remember, you profit from those sailang and margin calls again and again.

How does those two stupid articles of yours show you make 200% in the last two years? Those two articles are talk cock rubbish.

Did you see how I show the return of my stock picks?

They were published long before, with the date the prices and then compared with the prices years later. Those stocks even come with investment thesis, complete with valuations etc.

Have you shown what shares you bought, the price you bought before, and the price you sold, in your stupid day trading, besides just talk cock? You talked anything you like.

Amazing, such naive claims!

But tell you what, nobody gives a damn if you make or lose money in your stupid trading.

too bad if it affects you....I am not responsible for u, u know?

Of course you can have your opinions. Everybody should be respected of his opinion. But as a 60+ old matured person, be responsible of what you say.

It is highly irresponsible the way you personally attack OTB relentlessly. Read the articles you wrote about him.

Of course you lack the credibility and ability to put me down although you tried very hard, as I am far ahead of you in finance and investment, in humility and anything else.

As a senior citizen, it is highly irresponsible to propagate sailang, margin to the public. Look what you have done to them in Jaks and Sendai. And worse, you profit from it by doing so. That amounts to manipulating and cheating, and all the immoral thingy.

what is there to wake up?
every thing that has happened in last 18 months in stock market has proven my attacks are correct and justified.....

I am asking the "super investor" to wake up from your koolaid.

Look at the mirror.

1)What quali you have to attack me?
2)you said engineer can't beat you in finance and investment? Why not you open up a separate thread so that we can debate; an engineer in me, and an "accountant" in you?
3) I have all the records of investment published in i3investor, the latest ones are here,

https://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/kcchongnz/176865.jsp
https://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/kcchongnz/177480.jsp

And many more.

What have you besides saying I bought this share at what price and sold at this price and made money? What values they give?

4)I have written and published 346 articles in value investor in i3investor so far. Yes you have also written a few. Well we can let others to judge how good you are in your writing.

5) Are you better in your investment outcome than me? Reading from what you have now, I highly doubt so.

As a matter of fact, you can even smell the fart of OTB. What are you keeping on attack him personally?

6) OTB did not recommend any stocks to sailang and margin in i3investor. Unlike you, you have been shouting sailang and margin Jaks and Sendai at RM150+ and RM1.20+ relentlessly in i3investors.

How many have lost a fortune with your behaviour? And the one who drank your koolaid have lost a bundle.

Still have the cheek to tell them that you have profit many times from Jaks?

one more thing....OTB is too greedy for performance.....a more responsible retail adviser would consider more portfolio theories........than his greedy for performance selections and focus.

SSLee has indeed done a good job for the minority shareholder of Insas as the management has finally listened, unlike before.

As opposed to the above character, what has he done except ridiculing everyone, except his master.

You can see his relentless personal attack on OTB, although OTB has ignored him for months already.

Every writer and contributor in i3investor is personally attacked by qqq, including me. Whereas the PLP thingy continues to go on wherever his master name is mentioned.

For me, I have no problem with his attack, as he has never able to rebuke any of my response to his attack. For his is just an empty tin kosong.

For his master, he has been drinking so much koolaid, as until today, he is still drunk. Wake up!

Recently Insas declared an interim dividend of 2 sen, the highest I can remember so far.

As a shareholder of Insas, I must thank SSLee for his great effort.

Thank you.

stockmarket...qualitative more important that quantitative....i think kc sifu in wrong forum.

Jay's post is very clear about this but you just can't comprehend some maths.

Buying a property using fundmyhome, instead of renting is a good choice, as instead of keep on paying rental and all money burned, is not as good as having some equity in the property some years down the road.

But clearly using conventional mortgage is much better than fundmyhome. If one is able to come out with 20% upfront, whether from borrowed money, or help from parents, clearly he is able to pay the mortgage for the first 5 years.

Jay has already explained very clearly. Use your brain. Learn to think instead of blurting out nonsense all the time.

UMW WHERE GOT RM1. 00 IN YEAR 2008

I OWNED UMW SINCE YEAR 2004 UNTIL NOW - 14 YEARS ALREADY

I BOUGHT 10 LOTS OF UMW IN YEAR 2004 FOR RM4. 80. AND IT GAVE A ONE FOR ONE BONUS SO I HAD 20 LOTS OF UMW AT RM2. 40

Next year in 2005 UMW dropped to a low of rm2. 32. After that it shot up all the way to Rm16. 00 by year 2013.

For year 2008 UMW highest price was Rm7. 65 and the lowest price was rm4. 82

So you better keep your mouth shut if you don't know the history of UMW

"Sailang" UMW at $1? How much was your "sailang"?

Sold at $1.80? Wow, not bad, 80% return. So you must be a multi-millionaire now, aren't you?

Which day you bought it which day you sold it for 80% return? The next day? 3 days later which probably is your maximum holding period.

But why didn't you keep it and sold it in 2014 for $12.50? You would be billionaire then. Stupid!

So how to become a $300 millionaire?

Good sharing. Two comments below,

1) It is important to compute the total return which includes dividends. Some companies give very good dividend yield.

2) Good to have the computation of compounded annual return as a mean to compare with alternative investment.

A good lesson of the fall from RM1.80+ to less than half the value in less than half a year, that margin finance should never to be encouraged.

Hi KC, won't disagree completely with focusing on the process but the market can reward a wrong process for a long period of time e.g. someone investing in gold (for whatever reason), would have done 10x from 1970-1980 only to lose 80% over the next 2 decades.

Me: Focus on the process of course means the right process. I don't know what gold investors' process is, is there one?

Also I'm not sure if value investing has been proven by academic research. After all, CAPM and not value investing is still the standard curriculum at university. Furthermore, I hardly think EPF or KWAP or PNB has or would state that they invest based on value investing.

Me: You can actually read many of those research through scholar goggle, I think, which have many of them proving value investing works in the long term.
The curriculum in university in investing is not necessary the right approach in real life investing. I don't use it although I have gone through the curriculum and very good at it. I never use CAPM in investing myself.

EPF is not necessary following value investing. I actually doubt so.

There are people who knows that they are gambling but there are also people who truly believes that they have an "investment process". For example, a prominent investor (who laid his case for one of the stocks in your Appendix) has clearly enunciated his investment process and has made his money. I suspect though you would have disagreed with his investment process and vice versa.

Me: Is his process plausible? has it been proven successful rigorously? Do you find it is a successful process from his record, not from his wealth which he claims? You are right, I don't buy it.

So I'm just wondering, and I don't mean any disrespect here, but I'm really curious as to how you convinced yourself your process is correct because I also struggle with this. I presume you would have to derive from first principles because quoting other successful investors (e.g. Buffett) or stock market returns won't be convincing.

Me: Just goggle and read the numerous articles I have written on value investing in i3investor, and the records I have shown you there. There are hundreds of articles there. Then see if they can convince you. It is entirely up to you.
Value investing is buying good companies at cheap or reasonable price. Don't you think it is pure simple logic? So we have to have a good process to find good companies, and have some valuation techniques to determine price versus value.

There are also other investors that don't adopt value investing that has shown tremendous success e.g. Stanley Druckenmiller, George Soros, James Simons. In short, how do you know your alpha factor was "value investing" and not say "malaysia small cap" or "high volatility" or something else?

Me: I don't deny there are other ways of investing which can also be very successful. You must understand them and see if they suit you. For me, I am only propagating value investing.

value investor think 3 think 4....think until chicken also gone

Value investors do think 3 think 4. That is why they seldom get caught sailanging and margining Jaks at RM1.80+ or Sendai at RM1.20+ even though they were constantly promoted by well known people and their side kick.

Isn't that a good thing as a value investor?

kc...so what does no eye see means to you?

ok ok. Since you are so bad in English comprehension, read the article again.

It means don't waste your valuable time gluing to the computer all the time. Don't waste your bloody time talking nonsense in i3investor.

Have a life.

But that doesn't mean I don't care about the market. Read this in the article,

"Most of all, I enjoy answering questions to my online investment course participants. I have also been doing a lot of analysis on stocks and writing them up for my stock pick service participants. I have also spent a lot of time for my practical investing course this time for those online course participants who wish to learn in depth on value investing in financial statement analysis and various valuations, and for various industiries such as manufacturing, trading, construction, plantation and financial institutions. It is my hobby. Best of all, I can do it in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, Taiping, Vietnam, in China, Auckland, or Singapore."

Understand?

for value investors how many bullets can u dodge?
what does no eye see value investing mean?
does no eye see means no shares?
or no eyes see means given up..all the shares bought at a high.......become frozen soldier?
no eyes see means what? means already defeated? given up? cut loss? go to fixed deposits?

I know very well you aren't a good stock trader, as someone said, if you are you would have been a millionaire already.

But what surprise me more is you are so poor in your English comprehension.

Sigh.

Choices and decisions in stock market are not related to what people say and write......
in stock market, choices and decisions people make are related to habits and character.
habits and character are more reliable indicators of what people do in stock market.
stock market, full of talk east go west, talk 3 talk 4., full of BS and full of beating round the bush.....and depends on the agenda of the writer.

Boom, got you!

Your habit: Talk 3 talk 4 and all nonsense. Sailang here sailang there, margin here margin there, and the end, got in and out for a pittance. Some more talk 3 talk 4 wanted to be two hundred millionaire before he koyak. Already 60+ already.

Evidence of making money, tak da, again talk 3 talk 4, talk east talk west, full of bullshit.

The judgment of what you write can't be yourself, but by others. Look at how others judge you. Any good comments so far from anyone, after tens of thousands of comments from you? Tak da!

Could be just bullshitting

I think you have future in investing in stock with this mind set. Only a small percentage of what is published in the internet space is real.

Yes, a lot of what people say about their good returns are likely to be bullshitting too. For example, this character here, the most active commentator in i3investor, said he tripled his stock value in the last two years, but he never explained how he did it and there is no way to verify it.

But for some, you can see their sharing of stocks published with many analysis all over the years, their philosophy and methodologies, evidences etc. You just have to read them and judge yourself.

Yes, never take anything at face value in the internet space.

Follow the "Godfather of Value Investing in i3investor" aka kcchongnz, and you won't sleep with the fishes like qqq3.
Value investing loses little but wins big.

=================================
godfather of value investing cannot find a value buy when shares at multi years low....go figure......

Enigmatic, thanks but no thanks. I ain't "Godfather of value investing", never claim that, or anything remotely closed to that,

q cube, your English is extremely poor. You can't comprehend simple English article. I thought my articles are simple enough for anyone to understand.

You have mentioned many times here that I "cannot find value buy". Which part of my article here says so?

This is a simple test of your comprehension again. Please read the article.

I made a lot of money from Jaks and Sendai....
So this must be an admission that while you tell everybody in i3investor to sailang and margin Jaks and Sendai at RM1.50 and RM1.20 respectively (you can't run away from this as they are all over the places, unless if you delete your comments), you were selling to them
==========
not true.....when I write about it, I am surely bullish......

Then how come you sold if you are "surely bullish"?

What kind of investing voodoo is that? You were surely bullish, but you sold them?

You were bullish but you sold them for a sen or two gain?

How to become a two hundred millionaire?

Many ways to lose money in this bear market, so many shares at multi years low....surely not restricted to Jaks and Sendai.

Of course. jaks only lost 50% from its peak, and Sendai >40%. Sap sap sui lah with margin finance.

But watch out for Sendai. Margin call will come soon and there will be bloodbath soon.

What about your Genting warrant bought at RM1.07 just 7 months ago? 3 sen now only you know.

Bornoil at 10 sen? CPIP at RM2.25? Taan at RM4.79? Jayatiasa at RM1,35? etc?

Tell us the secrete how you made three times from your RM100k capital the last two years with all those above purchases?

I get my rewards by selling at prices higher than my cost.....
keeps my brain young and my bank account healthy.......

Of course. You relentlessly telling newbies to sailang and margin Jaks at RM1.50, and at the back you sold to those water-fish at RM1.80+.

That was how you made money when Jaks's share price fell all the way to 90+ sen now.

wallen the bufalo don't give advises for a fee......and when he is sober and being honest......he will tell u to buy index funds.

Warren Bufett never advise anyone what stock to buy. Any stock he likes he buys it quietly so that he can buy it cheap.

Only a "small person" like q cube tells everyone what he buys, and at the back sells to others at a one two sen gain, and then tells everyone how good his panic investing is.

ever liked people who milks the public with value investing advices.......

Whether you like someone who plays out the public to make money, or someone who teaches you to avoid being played out by sharks is individual choice.

It also shows the character of that someone.
