On skill, knowledge and peritus in stock market, when I already achieved financial independence, you were still in primary school. Have you make any money before from stock market??

If you make money, I don't ask a sen from you.

But the problem is, people having idiotic mentality like you trying to blame and blame and blame. What is that to blame on me? Did I ask you to buy Parson? Did I ask you to buy LCIB? Or whether I promote MSport so you bought in and loses money??

You can never reach my standard in investment.

I don't buy into Lion Ind at the current price, you can just forget about telling people I lose money in LCIB. I did mention before Lion Corp account doubtful => Lion Diversified doubtful => Lion Industries doubtful. Then you and Kian Leong Lim blame me anti steel guy and started to blame me evil man. Transmile accounts cheat, Fountain accounts cheat, Enron accounts cheat, now I have reason to believe Masteel account going to be a cheat too.

All accounts for red chips listed in Bursa Malaysia can't be trusted.

Too many company directors are not honest, not credible and without integrity. I always put trust worthiness of directors my first priority in investment grade stock pick. Punting stock mainly based on TA.

Masteel is going to be a good punting stock to practice your trading skill.

ks55 -- Cannot stand 5% loss? Try out with REITs.

Let suppose you have 1m cash asset (Share, FD, Bonds, Treasury bills, SA etc excluding EPF). How much risk you can take?

Some people can stand up to 50% loses (if they are still young <35 yr old)
Some people can only stand up to 20% loses. (may be for 40 -50 yr old)
Some may be 10%, or 5%. (Retired or near to retirement >50 yr old)
It is really depends on your degree of tolerance.

Some may be young, but they have low degree of tolerance. Their temper will fluctuate with market performance. Market good, they got excited. Market down, they will not be able to sleep. This will affect their job performance.

My advice is, if you invest up to 500k, you find that your temper already being jeopardized, reduce to 400k. If still find hard to sleep, reduce further to 300k, 200k,100k etc. There should come to a level whether market up or down doesn't affect performance of your main career anymore. That is your tolerance level.

Some may have 1m cash asset, but not able to stand a 5k loses. These people are not risk taker, share market is definitely not suitable for them. REITs may be most suitable for them as it is low risk with medium gain. Otherwise will be FD or MGS.

Again a word of caution. Don't commit 100% of your cash asset in share market. Always keep some for rainy days. Worse still if you try to buy on margin in this coming turbulence market.

Think safe, play safe, invest safe. If want to punt, punt safe.

Another ship sails to holland.
Read carefully 2013 Annual Rpt to find out why :-

#For the financial year ended 31 December 2013, the Board of Directors is not recommending any declaration of dividend.
The level of dividends to be declared for FYE 2014 and future financial year would be determined by the Board after taking into consideration the performance, cash flow position and financial requirements of the Group a swell as the prevailing economic conditions.#

What does that means? Cash flow problem?
Cash and bank balances is rmb 501 million
Total current asset is rmb 669m
Current liabilities total rmb 124m
Long term liabilities nil

Again read carefully:-
Revenue rmb 712m
Inventories, at cost is rmb 24m

Don't tell me all are produced just in time for delivery??????

If this set of account can be trusted, all creative accounting can be deemed to be accurate and factual!!!!

Don't wait to receive free warrant. A cheat is a cheat!!!!

Good investors are 100% shielded from market risk?
If you were about to retire in 1997/98, do you think you will survive till today?

I strongly recommend if you plan to work util 60, don't take out all your money at 55.

You still can make investment using excess saving other than EPF. EPF is your last line of defense. EPF is to keep you surviving if anything adverse happened to your investment. EPF does not make you a millionaire but to make you feel safe to live on with meaningful and dignity life after retirement.

If you are good at investment, you should have invested using your excess saving other than EPF.

EPF is the minimum safety net for individual. Not really enough for you to be 100% rely upon, but it will never make you feel helpless in your golden years.

In the case if hyper inflation do occur in countries like Vietnam, Venezuela or Russia, of course safest is to park your ringgit in USD. Again you must have the knowledge or means to do so. I, myself allocated very big proportion to RMB dominated collectibles.

EPF made a commendable returns for the workers. Just compare with CPF Singapore, what is the retuen?? 2%!
EPF makes your nest eggs safe. Unit Trusts? Do you feel safe?? What happen if you bought into BHL or Southern Bank UT?? All Public Mutual Funds give you the same returns? You are equally good compare with PB China Funds if you buy into China market seeing your investment goes down by 50% then come up 50%, and only to go down again another 50%.

Play safe. If you are not good in stock market, please keep your money with EPF.

For those who plan to work until 60, don't take out all your money at 55. Try to make good your expenses within your means while still enjoying full employment. Just leave EPF money for your golden years.......No worry...... Don't think of rely on your children....They are having commitment more than what you may think.......

Millions park in front, millions park behind. You have to wait for buyers 2 bids higher in order to make money.
How come??
Today : buyer 7.0 sen. seller 7.5 sen, so you take seller and buy at 7.5 sen.
Tomorrow: buyer 8.0 sen, seller 8.5 sen, and you have to sell to buyer at 8.0 sen.

So you will make 0.5 sen gross, after deducting brokerage, stamp duty, clearing fees, GST, so will left with 12 ringgit profit for 100k units you buy and sell.

Why make thing so hard. Buy within your reach.

Use 50 months gross salary as Rule of Thumb. If your salary is 5k, buy an apartment value at 250k. Sure you can afford.
If your salary is 20k, buy a terrace house up to 1m.

Problem is earning 5k want to buy 500k condo, earning 20k want to buy 2m bungalow.
You are going to commit suicide! Worst to come by in 2018 when those speculators can't hold on to their properties any longer.....

Be contended, think of HK who can only afford 100sf per person.

For those drawing salary 5k at age 60, what is the recommended EPF saving?
What about those with 10k, 15k? How much is enough to keep them going till age 80 ?

With CPI increased at 4% per year, to have decent and a meaningful living with dignity, minimum expenses is estimated to be 1k a month, and to add 4% annually.

If EPF Board is sincere enough to help the poor, for the first 300k, give fixed dividend at 8%, the balance pay according to profit it generate during the year. Also to permit EPF withdrawal every month. In this way, it will enable the poor to have at least 1k for living expenses throughout their whole life (I tend to like how CPF Life in Singapore works).

Property stocks are more cyclic in nature, therefore can go more volatile in either way. UEMS can come less than 50 sen to 3.50, then 3.50 to 1.23 in the current cycle. Catch at the right time will give best return.

Property prices in Singapore already peaked. Probably good to have spill over to Iskandar.
