Hi kancs, thanks for asking. I am not good in finding hidden gems, Icon is better in this.

I am trying to find undervalued stocks with low PE & growing business (not sunset business). BUT this may not necessary will translate into Increase in stock price in short term.

I scare of losing money, thus very very emphasize on Margin of Safety, and so far I am lucky not to lose money in stock market except my first loss making venture in stock market at age 21.... :(

I am monitoring Fiamma & Penta now,

1. Penta is depending on next QR result & I bet on revised market perception on this stock. Meanwhile Icon is collecting KESM, you can compare both, both are in similar business, I think.

2. Fiamma is traded at huge discount over NTA, but having a not sexy business, trading & property development. Not expected to have positive news in near future & need at least 1 or 2 years to have clearer future.

For sharing only, my opinion may be wrong & not so accurate.

我从AA九毛开始捞到八毛，再捞到一块二，然后全部在RM1.35卖了，后来起到RM1.50就是后事了。

然后再把大部分资金投到GADANG, 平均成本RM1.44，又很幸运的一直奔跑。

tksw, not worth to spend time like this, focus your study or work to earn more money, money will come your way.

Unless you are full time investor, then investment should come 2nd or 3rd or even further in life. Main purpose is to grow your value of money.

Investment in stock market is a mass psychology (投资股票是一门大众心理学), even though you may be right, market may not think the same way as you are.

Join the market & earn average over years.

OR try to beat the market to act differently, you may win big but you may be beaten to lose out to market average.

Knowing everything in investment do not guarantee profits, cautiously & patiently carry out risk calculated investment decision is key to success.

Tksw, i suggest not to discuss here as not appropriate, but advise you to look for accounting standards for construction contract and LHDN's public ruling on construction. Property development will be treated differently.

Dear all, try to learn accounting skills or knowledge does not really help in improving investment skills, not at all.

To improve investment skills, the only ways are to read more books, annual reports, analysis & researches done by bankers/professionals & many great people like Icon8888 & many sifus in i3.

After knowing the basic terms in investment, that will still not guarantee you can become good investors & make handsome profits in investment, you will still need to learn the trade, get burn, make loss, gain profit, When to go in & When to exit.

While Elsoft & Kesm up 35% ~ 38% over the last 3 months, Penta was up merely at 0.7%!!!

When downside is visibly slim & limited, upside can possibly be expected if there is any pushing factor.

Accountant has advantage of easy understanding figures from the reports but I have to admit most accountants are kiasu & kiasi one, including me... :(

I am running my own business in services line, ha, not selling products.

Something related to presentation of accounts for manufacturing company & the movement in the closing stocks (finished goods & work in progress).

Raw materials were consumed to produce finished goods or work-in-progress, the costs were taken up in the accounts but some raw materials were used to produce unsold closing stocks/WIP.

Since it is not consumed or sold, the corresponding changes will be reversed back from the accounts, thus showing positive amounts in PL.

Positive amount means the level of closing stocks/WIP were higher than the previous period whereas Negative means closing stocks were reduced or more were sold.

Just called the Property Development Office of Fiamma to register interest for future property projects.

The proposed serviced apartment project located at existing warehouse in KL Kepong, behind Wisma Fiamma, will only likely be launched after 6 months, due to issue with authorities.

That mean no new exciting factor from the Company in near future & the share price will very likely remain stagnant, Or in fact will go down if the trading division is not doing good in the next few quarters.
