Management still there, contracts still there, PE still low, not depending on forex, more projects are likely, i see no reason for sale.
I know a lot of eyes are looking to get more when price down...

This level of price range is similar to the one at 1.4+, where volume low & prices up down 1 cent or so.
I still remember our theme rhythm, 3 steps up 2 steps down... :)
I don't like to follow chasing but when thing become quiet, then it's my time to collect again.

Everytime I read & analyse other companies' annual reports, I hate those companies just did there corporate exercises such as split, bonus, right issue or even private placement.
It is very difficult to get comparison over past years' performance & sometimes it gives very distorting ratio reading because some websites including i3investor did not capture the enlarged share base.
I have to give Kok Oon a thumb up for resisting request from speculators or short traders to do such exercise.

Disposal of USJ da men is one sided to Pavilion, it is not a clean sale from GOB & it is subject to price reduction if the actual occupancy rates & rental charges are not up to the mark.
Most importantly, GOB has to make sure the mall is 70% operated & rented with not less than RM9.20 sf, what a deal to Pavilion!

Value of the investment properties can only be realised upon disposal, if it is not disposed of, then the increase in value should not be taken up as in Income Statement.
INCOME STATEMENT is to record the performance of the operations of a company during a period of time. Since the properties are not sold, then why should it be the gain taken up in Income Statement.

It seems like nowaday many companies that have properties will keen to revalue their properties soonest possible, rather than late, if compared to those years in history. (Look at every REIT now, everyone is doing it now every year)
Many years ago, any revaluation will only be taken up in Capital Revaluation Reserve, which is under the reserve accounts of the Balance Sheet, NOT in the profit & loss account as today as Gain in fair value of Investment Properties. (That's why many companies did not revalue their properties in those days, no initiative mah...)
The new practice will FAKE the profit of the company & distort the actual situation of the company. Many small investors will be trapped, as we all know many of them do not really look at the report. (Like last few days in Fiamma case, I am so surprise on the price up but not surprise on the price down)
These are PAPER PROFIT & no money involved.
Most importantly, revaluation are made based on the revaluation report prepared by so called "professional". (Talk about professional opinion, do you believe the Target price set by those so call analysts?)
I am SERIOUSLY OPPOSE the accounting standard by recognising the capital revaluation into the income statement. (but I know I am just a small fish in the ocean.... sigh...)

The latest QR profit was in fact down to 10.7m from 13.9m (last year Q4), reduced about 23%, after excluding the paper profit on one-off capital revaluation of 24m.

The management owe shareholders an explanation why suddenly stop declaring dividend.
A good management should work hand in hand with shareholders, unless they think not necessary.

Quarterly report released today (27 Nov) with good result but price has gone up since 19 Nov. From RM0.66 to RM0.78.
Sigh... what's that mean? All flesh eaten up already, left bone only. How to invest?

Thanks, chernhung, the above are half of my homework and I did that for every companies that seem attractive.
Sometimes it will tell totally different stories when dig deep into the figures. Some looked good but bad inside, OR good outside & inside but bad management, OR everything good but wrong industry... :(
All in all, I need to convince myself why should I invest in this company & hope you will be convinced to buy & push further up the price... :)

Don't, kancs, the good thing about GOB is cash rich & a big fat profit is going to be derived from the sale of Da'mein.
It is normal reaction from market, see what happen to Airasia now, everyone expected improvement based on the load factors report released in early Nov, but the financial figures told the other stories.
Just sharing here & not dare to share there, afraid kena bomb there.

kancs, I will try to avoid loss making company or company with surprise loss, though they are cash rich.
Market will only look at profitability of a company with consistent delivery, not so on the NTA.
The only hope to have price increased on a high NTA company is either:
1. declare high special dividend OR
2. privatisation or general offer to be taken over by someone.
I may not right or may miss the boat, but I don't want to bet on that, it's too risky.

Because many companies opted to do that & normally the price of shares under the reinvestment plan is discounted about 5% to 8% to the current price, say 5 days average.
But a bit troublesome cause need to sign acceptance form & sent to share registrar/secretarial office.
For long term investors, this should be good for there is a discount for additional shares.

It means: dividend is safely in pocket, now still go for TP RM2.50.
Gadang business model are not depending on ringgit appreciation or depreciation & Gadang next 2 years sales are locked.
While downside is slim, My only hope is to get more billing from Capital City & new project awarded.

When market is having bad sentiment, every stock will fall. Why? Because of panic.
All my best time in investing were always other people bad time, WHY? Because people selling cheap to me. All stocks were expensive or fairly reflected during good time.
I am waiting Mr Market to desperately knock my door everyday to offer me daily cheaper sale.

Healthy balance sheet with good pile of cash in hand plus continuously growth in the business, the only absent is dividend in 2014.
Any idea why the company did not declare dividend in 2014? It will definitely hurt the company image with such inconsistency.

The only area the Management need to address is their construction division, once they managed to lower the costs and subsequently improve their profit margin, coupled with additional construction order, the stock will fly.
