Keck Seng achieved record earnings last year but its share price stays stagnant. That seems unusual. Prior to 2020, it used to trade at well over RM4 a share.

Now trading at only half its NTA. It went up to over RM1.70 some years ago but too bad, I didn't take profit.

Average EPS over the past 8 years was almost 40 sen and average DPS was 31.25 sen. Just don't see its earnings this year would suddenly plunge to well below 30 sen a share. It still earned 30 sen a share in 2020, considered a very bad year.

Might dip below RM9 tomorrow. Opportunity to buy again.

Check the facts before you post any comment. Maybank hasn't dropped to historical lows. It is still slightly higher than its price at the beginning of 2020, not including the over RM2 dividends it has paid.

EPF should come out strongly to support MRCB instead of letting its share price to struggle at such low levels.

@pang72, filthy rich people can survive however bad a market is. He is still worth over US$1 billion. Those speculators who had used all their savings to gamble on tp can't survive.

I think it has to stay above RM3 for several weeks before one can say that its price has stabilized.

I don't think Maybank is content with being the #1 in Malaysia. UOB, the smallest of the three big Singapore banks, is still much bigger than Maybank.

Merging with another bank is not attractive enough. Better to be taken over by a bigger bank like Maybank.

Good earnings for the quarter ended 30/4. Another 2 sen a share dividend to be paid on 20/7.

Opportunity strikes but once. RHB Bank has gained little from its recent low, only 13 sen but CIMB has gone up by almost 50 sen.

Small investors have been taken for a ride. Maybank certainly won't do such kind of thing.

Better to wait for the dust to settle first.

RHB Bank wins hands down for being the worst performing bank counter over the last few days.

By any measure, banks are the safest counters to invest in but many small investors still prefer to put their money in speculative stocks.

Has already gained by 9% from its recent lows just over two weeks ago. Those who had picked up at RM4.85 and below have already made some decent profit.

@007, you have started collecting Hap Seng more than two months ago when it was trading at over RM4.80. Must have collected several million Hap Seng shares by now.

In this type of market condition, I consider a few hundred Ringgit of profit as satisfactory.

Since you are a long term investor and you only want dividend, it is the right time to buy Maybank (dividend yield 6.7%) and RHB Bank (dividend yield 7.4%).

Downtrend continues. Surprisingly HSBC still has a buy call for TG with a tp of RM1.35. Follow HSBC and you would most likely head straight to Holland.

Assuming that this year's earnings per share remains stagnant at 65 sen and dividend stays at 40 sen a share, RHB Bank is then trading at a PE of 8.23 and a dividend yield of 7.48. You can't find another counter listed on Bursa with such a low PE and high dividend yield.

Major shareholders just let its share price drop to the abyss, Should come forward to support it.

Pity those small punters who get caught at over RM1.20, now riding on a tiger and find it difficult to get down. 骑虎难下. Blame only yourselves.

If your sole purpose of buying share is to get dividends, buy RHB Bank.

Recommended by someone to buy this counter some ten years ago at around RM2. Missed the opportunity to make some money. Should it drop to RM2 again (though I think is very unlikely) would definitely buy without hesitation.

Continue to accumulate. Forbes could not have ranked RHB Bank as the 6th strongest company in Malaysia for no reason.

Counters that went up for no reason last Friday, like Genting, Maxis, P Metal, PetDag etc have now all fallen back.

If not because of the coming state elections, I would start to accumulate very slowly. It has fallen way too much.
