@Come: I don't think I will be collecting today & tomorrow will have to see first. Probably next week .... if the price hit rock bottom (or when it goes below 0.665).
2018-01-18 10:40 | Report Abuse
The price is likely to drop for a few more days b4 start moving up again (this is my opinion only).

@Come: Yes, I sold off some shares in SAPNRG but still keep some. I will buy back when the price stop dropping like hell (maybe near rock bottom price).

I did not ask anybody to buy at higher price.... remember, I tell people to make own decision & don't follow me or other people?
2018-01-18 09:56 | Report Abuse
So keep quiet & let other people manage their own risk. Don't tell them what to do or what not to do, unless they ask u personally.

Pmaster, all your decisions & actions r based on some kind of theory (your own theory). So, don't make fun of other people's theory while they r losing money. Even with your "own theory" u r not doing better than us. So, y talk so much yourself?

I think EPF is not trying to sell off all its stake in SAPNRG. It is trying to push the price all the way down to 0.665 (like last time) & then buy back aggressively at that very low price to push it up very quickly again to RM1.05 or RM1.20. This way they will end up with more shares than b4 at lower cost than RM1.40 per share. But I think using more than 20% of its shareholding to play game like this is too much (and unethical).

This counter is what I call a sleeping counter (but can suddenly wake up one). When the price want to go up somebody will quickly sell millions of shares to keep the price down; when the price want to go down that somebody will quickly buy up all the shares to prevent it from going down. This is clearly a "control counter." So buy it & don't expect it to go up for awhile... but must watch it everyday in case it suddenly wake up. It will only wake up for one day only & then go back to sleep for many months.... so must sell it on that 1 day (only) when it wakes up. Good luck!

Hope the price will go up today after u cut-loss (it usually does).

Hahahaha!! They r trying to draw us away from O&G investment to Bitcoin.

Also, 2 months ago we were not sure who was the one dumping SAPNRG's share that made its price drop terribly but by now almost everyone knows who it is. So, when there is new knowledge about certain company's shares (dealings & change in price pattern) it is always good to reassess our trading or investment strategy with regard to that company's shares. Anyway, I will hold on & see first (for new insight).

Cutie, there is a difference between Air Asia's case & SAPNRG. Air Asia was profitable all the while (just some drop in profit & some accounting matters) but SAPNRG was losing money to start with & did not foresee any improvement till after 2019. So anything can happen to SAPNRG's share price between now & after 2019 (this is my only concern).
2018-01-17 22:36 | Report Abuse
I am also not a strictly fundamental or strictly technical (analysis) person... I use everything from the beginning all the while. So, I have never change what I said.
2018-01-17 22:32 | Report Abuse
My long term is only 3 months (not 2 years like u) and I also said I change my tactics from time to time according to market condition. Does that answer your question?
2018-01-17 22:24 | Report Abuse
I also hope EPF will not sell all its stake in SAPNRG. As of 13 Dec 2017, EPF held more than 689 million shares in SAPNRG but now (17 Jan 2018) it has only 557 million shares. That means it has sold off around 132 million shares in 1 month (I think it should take more than 4 months to sell all, not 2 months... sorry, guess wrongly). I also cannot give any reason why they would sell all... just a little worry about it (but anything is possible.... just like it totally sold off all its stake in BAT recently).
2018-01-17 21:53 | Report Abuse
At this rate of selling, EPF will finish selling the remaining 557 million shares in less than 2 months. In a way, it will be good bcoz there will be no more heavy selling after that.... but can we tahan the "hari-hari turun" for 2 months? For many small retailers, we may not die hard bcoz we only have little shares in SAPNRG but those holding a few million shares of SAPNRG will really die hard.

Yeah, I cut win everything at 0.935 & then bought back one third quantity at 0.870 to 0.875.
2018-01-17 16:48 | Report Abuse
I just keep one third of my original quantity.... for fun only.
2018-01-17 16:33 | Report Abuse
Hahahaha!! Come, it's always like that.... price go up only after u cut-loss.
2018-01-17 15:51 | Report Abuse
If retailers keep buying when the price go down & don't cut-loss then the sharks will go hungry.

So other people may also think like u.... they may not want to cut-loss yet. So, y keep advising them to cut-loss these few days?

Pmaster, if u have followed "the trader" u would not have been trapped in your 1st investment (don't know how many million RM) with average entry price at RM1.30. So, how do u expect others to follow "the trader"?

Personally, I think should sell off this counter at least 10 days b4 Chinese New Year (don't care whether uptrend or downtrend). Make own decision... don't follow me or other people bcoz different people have different risk appetite.

This counter is not suitable for long term investment. As a short term trade of less than 2 months should be O.K. and also should not put all your money in this counter (diversify with other counters in different sectors).
2018-01-17 12:37 | Report Abuse
CutieCutie, this price drop is very normal, especially with SAPNRG. If u study the price chart of SAPNRG it shows that the uptrend is still intact. So, y sell when the uptrend is still intact? unless the trend later change to a clear-cut downtrend then u may want to decide whether to sell or not.
2018-01-17 12:26 | Report Abuse
CutieCutie, if u have held onto your shares till now, better don't sell now. The price may drop a few more cents.... just keep your shares till TP RM1.12 to TP 1.20 then sell.

Pmaster, if u r truly a long term investor as u have claimed the past 1 or 2 months, u won't cut-win, cut-loss or cut-sell. These terms belong to speculators. U must be consistent with the advise u continuously give people in this forum. U said u r a long term investor yet u act like a speculator.... very confusing.

Pmaster, yesterday evening u also said this morning will open higher & then fall very steep.... but it did not happen as u predicted. What happened to your prediction? Change of plan?

EPF's shares in SAPNRG were bought by foreign funds & institutions (see the website below) .... most of them started buying up SAPNRG's shares since Nov & Dec 2017, e.g. the Vanguard Group Inc. bought 10,000,000 shares on 31 Dec 2017 & held approximately 156 million shares of SAPNRG as of 31 Dec 2017. Who do u trust about the true value of SAPNRG? Local institutions that bought high & sell very low or foreign institutions that bought very low & keep buying?

But, Pmaster, I don't see how u r beating "the Trader" in this counter.... u already lost several million RM in your 1st investment with average entry price at RM1.30. U need to have bigger trading capital than b4 in order to win back those millions u have lost.
2018-01-16 14:17 | Report Abuse
Don't simply believe anyone 100%. Make your own decision quietly & don't post it on this forum. U will perform better this way.

Fundamentally, SAPNRG should be O.K. .... considering EPF bought 30,000,000 shares on 12 Jan 2018 which was the cause of last Friday's price up. Looks like it's time for EPF buying back those shares they have been dumping for the past few weeks.

Whether it's a trap or not depends on your actions (or reactions).... it doesn't matter whether the price move (or close) up or down.

Yes, LA777. Relax, take it easy.... buy slowly (whether up a bit or down a lot), don't panic (up or down). I'm not saying don't buy SAPNRG.... just don't all in at once (buy bit by bit ... slowly build up or slowly dispose depending on your current position).

LA777 should be right.... just sit back & relax.

I think Friday's up was a trap. Monday may suddenly dive down very steep... but if Monday go up by a few more cents it may also be another trap since many of u plan to buy more if it goes up. This is only what I think.... I may be wrong. If I am wrong then congrats to all those who keep topping up.

With reference to the TA in the Edge's article shared by Geo123, it will take 11 to 12 trading days from today (11 Jan) for the 20 days EMA (red line) to cross over the 50 days EMA (blue line) but the price will shoot up (like on Monday) 3 or 4 days b4 the red line cross over the blue line... hence, my conclusion that there will be another 8 to 10 trading days of consolidation b4 the sudden shoot up in price (provided the syndicate do not decide to suddenly goreng up the price).
2018-01-11 21:22 | Report Abuse
By looking at SAPNRG's past trend pattern, the price is likely to go down bit by bit for another 8 to 10 trading days b4 it suddenly shoot up again like on Monday. So don't average down too quickly, otherwise u will end up with all your money tied up in SAPNRG. Take it easy, go slowly. My comment here is only as good as the syndicate don't decide to suddenly goreng it up again & catching everyone by surprise (u know lah.... anything can happen in the stock market, especially this very tricky counter).
