@jeffchan1901, I trade online, all the details in my portfolio is control by my brokerage trading system....to rectify any mistake, will need to inform them to do it....but I have not done so bcos it's not important, I know my average buy price...

@jeffchan1901 the DRP shares are added to your existing stock at "no cost".....so, if you subscribe full, it should bring down your average buy price by 7.5 sen.
I have already checked mine, this is my 3rd DRP.

But sometime, your trading account system might have "error" setting, I encountered this with my CIMB DRP the previous time....the average buy price became higher after DRP (the DRP price was higher than my buy price)

The MBB one is correct....it should be treated at "no cost" and bring down your average buy price.

@jeffchan1901 it depends on your age and your investment target....if it's for low risk retirement investment, high on this tiger plus a little on two or three higher beta stocks is good enuf...

....I hold a few banks (heavy on this tiger) plus a little Genting and about 40% cash in ASM.

They hold substantial stake in Banks and Plantation....which should be better compared to last year.

I visited the other forum, and noticed that many cheerleaders have disappeared lately.
Previously, they said they buy the stock because the stock give them peaceful sleep at night....but I suspect, after Putin invaded Ekraine, made them cannot sleep....haha.

Like the sifu tolle said, if you can predict the future price, Warren Buffet will give you USD 1m have lunch with you...haha

So, if you have bought a fundamentally good stock, you keep for long term and never react to short term noise.

@bang_miskin, yes, MBB is low beta, while Genting is higher beta....in an up market, Genting should do better....but in a down market MBB is safer .....and even if market remains low for long time, MBB is buffered by it's high dividend.

I took some profit on Genting last year July at about 4.90, switched to MBB at 8.00.....got 28 sen dividend on October, now paper gain is still more than 10%.....

...tiger roars.....foreign funds are still buying....can still consider at current level.

While most stocks are down YTD, MBB is up 8% :)
