@tolle, I queued at 8.00 ...then decided to cancel cos waiting for BN MPs announcement ...then went out to attend to some thing...checked later, it was already at 7.98/99....now I think I will wait to see afternoon how...haha..

Today, Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd (HLIB) analyst Chan Jit Hoong wrote in a note that in HLIB’s opinion, Maybank’s risk-reward profile is skewed to the upside, premised on Maybank being a prime candidate for rotational recovery play among the FBM KLCI's 30 constituents and the notion that Maybank is "less susceptible to foreign equity sell-off".

Ng said foreign investors' net selling flow rose 292% to RM580 million worth of equities last week, their highest weekly net sale value year to date.

"They were net sellers of the financial services and consumer product sectors,” she said.

She said today foreign investors’ top three net sell stocks last week were Public Bank Bhd, Maybank and CIMB Group Holdings Bhd.

I will slowly accumulate 7.95 and below....quite confident the return will be good over the long term..
...this will be my next ASM...will not be selling even it's 9 or 10....bcos if cash out then cannot find better alternative to park for fixed income/dividend.

....But this stock is still holding up quite well if you compare its' one month movement against similar stocks is US....like Las Vegas Sands and Wynn Resorts..which have dropped more.

Genting is attractive because it has corrected a lot.

MBB is safer due to the "unknown" of Delta variant.

If I need to top up now....I prefer MBB.

Yesterday waited till 4.30pm, then missed the boat at 8.01/02....guess need to buy some at 8.04 .

My MBB : PBB ratio is 10 : 0

Haha...it's because ....

PE ratio : MBB 13 vs PBB 15

Dividend yeild : MBB 6.2 vs PBB 3.2

Price to NAPS : MBB 1.12 times vs PBB 1.70 times

So, at current price, MBB has better value than PBB.

As a value investor, my choice is obvious :)

EVEN IF stuck here forever...is also NOT BAD...at current price, dividend yield will be about 7-8 %.......I am shifting my ASM fund to buy buy buy this.
(ASM is now paying only 4 %....as it is a capital guarantee ...there will also be no capital appreciation).....Maybank may have potential to break 9 or 10 in future.

@choysun....yes, agree....it's due to high covid and the political uncertainties....at current price it's attractive to buy and hold for 1-2 year.
