Based on the debt:equity for the financing of the Vietnam IPP, JAKS % ownership in the JV, IRR, and making the liberal concessions as to the financing terms and assuming all goes as planned, the yearly recurring income to JAKS is c. US $20 mil

Dont worry old man koon will be sincere this time he repent after Jaks and so he will buy up everything in Lionind just like last year Feb 2017 when he mopped up Jaks when it plunged after bad Qtr results then end up with close to 30% because have to continue with the bluff but actually biting off more than he can chew, being stuck and then look what do we have now hmmmm......lel

So if you remove the purchase...(in fact you have actually lost money which is worse, sans purchase at least you still have 1.4bil cash...)

As the oft quoted phrase goes, "Malaysia is an open economy..." (and therefore more exposed to uncertainties and changes in the global trade/economic landscape...)
Add to that the fact that China is Malaysia's largest trading partner...

If there's anything Ive learned it is that people just want to be spoonfed
Hence why in the end its ultimately better to manage outside money
That said in the near-term probability of upside is tilted towards exporters - gloves, apparel, furniture (maybe) etc
You have a strong US economy and jobs data and looming Fed rate hikes coupled with the recent change in our government (lets give them some time to iron out the kinks and implement their policies...) you would expect MYR to depreciate against the USD

By May after relief rally and 1Q18 results, or even before, exit
Because old man koon will exit before you do. Because after that you will have the shutdown and spreads look meek, and as you all should already know by now, when he tells you RM18 and its fine to hold for a few years for a mere 100% (implying that those returns are modest, and that he's long-term and that you should too) you know he's going to do the quite opposite
Good luck and may all of you make money in these oh so turbulent times

The cash from the greenland sale alone is rm3 per share
But you guys should know, IWC is nothing without LKH, all that land, all those deals....
Plus IWC lacks strong institutional holders so unless a very mighty white knight comes in, nobody is going to push the price to its fair value
So that greenland sale and payment, probably going to be delayed again until LKH gets another plan
Or when its low enough and he'll offer to take over again at that lower price...
A rock and a hard place

IWH listing - Ekovest deal not even proposed, wait for it to be tabled first
Look at ekovest's list of shareholders, since hishammudin's brother and now khoo exited, institutional holders/sovereign funds, hold significant amounts, getting the share swap deal through which was already stated will be dependent on the 'merits of the deal' and assuming its a lousy deal, is not going to be easy
Ekovest shareholders =/= IWC shareholders lel
2018-03-09 23:25 | Report Abuse
Vote for the deal. RM1.2bil and you get RM2.4bil
That is 1bil in profit (Ekovest's current market capitalisation is only RM2bil)
The rest of the IWC land banks are free. That is value accretive
Sooo good, why doesnt LKH privatise IWC?
Look at him, for all intents and purposes he doesn't have the cash (asset rich cash poor). That's why he tried to inject IWH and BM (no cash outlay) and end up with a large majority share. That failed. But....soon all of the value from the greenland sale will go to IWC shareholders, who for long have never appreciated the value of the company (depressed share price)....so how???
In comes Ekovest. The money that they will use to pay the RM1.50 cash per IWC share, will be 'paid back' via the cashflows from the greenland sale
You short term traders who know the price of everything and the value of nothing faster exit

Its good that know that you were lucky in 2017, and that if youre unable to make money in an inefficient market like Bursa well your skills were never really up to par, coupled with you blaming it on IDSS and 'Buffettology' (blaming on external factors and how the world is unfair and why werent you born with a silver spoon and bla bla bla is a symptom of a lack of skill.....)
So unlike the rest of the noob comments on top, quitting is the correct decision. Because you should quit while youre ahead. Let those who are addicted to the markets and always dreaming of that 'one last hurrah' to be burnt and lose their panties. Dont be like arsene wenger or old man koon
