Airasia wants to sell its leasing arm, AAC.
As mentioned previously, Everbright owns HK-listed China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC). Its share price movement in the past week is interesting to say the least...............
Scenario:
Everbright buys AAC but only partial sale (e.g. 80% so AA is still vested, gotta take care of its investment what, and what better way than to still have the seller still owning a stake - if youve ever owned a start-up company you'd know)
AA gets its upper range of indicative valuations @ USD 1-1.2 billion
They both get China JV
I believe this is what is called a 'win-win situation' you guys miss the phrase dont you trololololol

Calm down, you guys comment with no substance all also same same lembu lol
1. The entire article is redundant based on one simple fact:
AAC will be sold. Do you know the implications? To the P&L, to the BS, to the CF, to valuations?
No need to say how a lot of the 'obligations / debts' as mentioned above will be taken with AAC
No need to go into how the article tries to delve into operating leases, but no idea how it affects valuations (when someone states it wont be discussed here, when clearly the article is already so long my eyes bleed..........)
Redo it and include the 'operating lease details' AND a valuation which takes into account the AAC sale
Then we'll discuss the assumptions that are made in the DCF and how they're wrong
Just because you see those terms does not mean that he/she is a CFA and input-ing figures into a pre-made DCF template with auto-output and regurgitating those terms doesnt mean anything geh
Oh btw I'm not just commenting because I own the warrants lol. I shiet on my own stocks, and on others even more. Its fun

Those who wanna exit with TP's 3.5-3.6, dont let a few cents hold you back. Who have held a long time, who have missed exiting at 3.2x last year, and went through the trough at 2.1x, nobody's going to say you sold too low a price, or you left too much at the table. Enjoy the spoils

When youve answered that question, everything will be clear

Fatman tony should just sell IAA. Incurring losses so long as youre growing and eating up market share - okay. But incurring losses and losing market share after so many years, thats shite

The poster must be an accounts person...valuations are not done based on some pre-defined set of ratios and criterias (X<10, Y>5% etc) - if you know nothing of valuations, these are good guidelines, but its like seeing the trees and missing the forest

Genting is 'controlled' by the Massmutualidiots...just like maybank and the mutuallyidioticepf...say what you want, large shareholders have significant sway, just ask those in ekovest
So unless they've pared down their stakes to the level they want OR they've actually collected enough warrants, my take is the WA will stay at around this level for a while still, which is good if u can time it and trade the warrants, not so good if you want to hit a magnificent homerun in the near term

Like its brethren triplc crest builder etc, it owns uitm concessions, in this case three of them which have been completed stretching for a period of 20yrs
Like most of these deals, no info. on annual availability nor maintenance charges are given (man you gotta love these tongkat deals). But the balance sheet provides where others may not......
IC12 based on operating assets only, concessions would be worth rm226mil (and im assuming here all borrowings are taken up for the concessions...)
Plus cash of rm56mil = circa rm280mil value
And this excludes entirely its investment property, land, inventory and all other assets totalling a few hundred mil...
If you factor in just a fraction of those...a ballpark rm300mil market cap is conservative
Vis-a-vis menang current market cap ~ 220mil
This is how real world on-the-fly valuations are done
No not even going to quote PE using earnings thats for conman nuubs

2017-04-08 16:51 | Report Abuse
Stop misleading ppl la who says you cant use PE
I pity all the aunty's and uncle's and general public who read this who are going to dismiss earnings multiples
There's a thing called Fundamental PE, google it and let Damodaran lead the way. It ties in all the ROC/ROIC/ROE and costs of capitals (ie 'excess returns'), with growth, and how a deficit actually destroys value when you grow etc
When it comes to the mathematical / theoretical, the very foundations of intrinsic valuation, youre weak. You need to ask yourself, how many years have you been doing this, and if you read and spent that much time but still do not 'see' or are able to 'connect' these concepts......
Youre a pro or youre a noob, thats life

Blog: Is Jaks a big fat frog jumping all around? kcchongnz
2017-05-22 12:31 | Report Abuse
Old man kcchongnz, better would be to refer to the PublicInvest research report and refer to the NPV as an estimation - the NPV is c. RM330mil
Then also refer to http://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2016/03/29/jaks-eyes-irr-of-12-for-rm7bil-vietnam-plant/ where the MD says the IRR is only 12%
The PB analyst uses a 'mid-teens' IRR, an IRR higher than that guided by the MD, Ang, ie the NPV in the report is higher than what is guided in The Star's article
Jaks market cap is currently RM750mil
At current price, youre paying c. RM400mil for the construction and property business. AS IT STANDS, IT SURE LOOKS LIKE IT IS NOWHERE NEAR THOSE VALUATIONS
I've stated this in another Jaks blog article
As usual, idiot admins take it down. Bloody idiots going around targeting my comments and removing those that have real info. You can only guess what their intentions are. Thousands of other nonsensical comments dont remove, remove the one which has real valuations
