hmmn my good friend Jack lives in NJ - yep sure they have/had TOL - some are still in operation because the concessions is not up yet lah but the ones up already no more collection of tol - why? because when the concession was granted ( haha in US they call it Open tender lah )The concession needs the $$$ to build and operate the TOL and to have a fair amount of profit but I see in Bolihland there seems to be no end of collections lah :) built already so much money somemore concessions also so very long so that one is not right lah - no benefit to the people lah :) agree or not :)

APRIL 06, 2013

APRIL 6 — So at last we are going to have a general election after all. The months of waiting have taken its toll on most people, but it’s important that they continue to have energy and spirit and to work hard to make this GE a meaningful one.

This week I want to talk to the Malays. They form the biggest block of voters and to them I say, this is your chance to have a new government. A new government will enable you to make a comparison with the one we have now. You have been told time and again that no one besides Umno/BN can govern and protect you, but wouldn’t it be better for you to try to find out for yourself? How can we know if Pakatan would be worse than Umno if we do not give them a chance?

You have to be brave and not let others bully you with fear and intimidation. The opposition parties have more Malays than BN so they will not harm you. They have worked hard and deserve a chance. For all you know, you may get better schools, better teachers for your children (as they may devote more time to teaching than politicking) and better security from the police and the army. Even your household income may improve as there will be more for the government to share with less corrupt leaders at the helm.

You will not lose if you vote for the opposition. If the opposition gets stronger because of your support but BN still wins, then you will get more cash handouts than they had promised. Money and projects have only been given to you because the opposition was strong — if the opposition had been weak, you wouldn’t have gotten the BR1M 1.0 and BR1M 2.0. It makes sense to vote for the opposition if you want more from the BN. Learn to value your votes to improve your livelihood.

Umno will use all the scare tactics in its arsenal, like telling you that Islam will no longer become the official religion and that the Malay Rulers will disappear if the opposition wins. You should ask your children and grandchildren if any of these can come true. Even they will tell you that this is all nonsense, just fear mongering by those desperate to cling to power when everything else has failed.

The Malays need to change their loyalty and support PAS as their protector. PAS is a Malay party just like Umno. The difference is that PAS has never been entrusted to rule the country. If the Malays can give Umno 50 years to govern, surely it’s not too much to give PAS at least five years. The opportunity for PAS to rule (in coalition, of course, with PKR and the DAP) is an historic moment for the Malays to seize. If PAS is not able to govern well then the people can always go back to Umno. Choice is what the Malays need for their own wellbeing — they have not had it in the last 50 years.

I know it’s easy to persuade the Malays to support their leaders and not go against them. They will be reminded of the cash and all the help that’s been given to them. They will be told to be grateful. They will be told that BN and the government are one and the same so if you want more from the government, then only BN leaders can help you.

Again, I urge you to talk to your children and grandchildren. The monies/salaries that BN leaders give in exchange for votes do not belong to them, but to the people of this country. It’s wrong for leaders to bribe you for votes. They have not been sincere to you. It’s not wrong for you to vote for the leader/party of your choice and still keep the money. In fact, if you vote for the opposition then BN will have to give you more next year. Either way, you win by supporting the opposition. — zaiduntukrakyat.com

Malaysian measured attendence money as not enough last night. When it comes to attend BN functions, its all about how much money not the spirit of supporting BN. Malaysia Boleh!!!!!!!

One of the main grouse of the discontented crowd at Stadium Putra - many of whom admitted taking pocket money of RM30 to 50 to come early - seems to be that food would only be provided after the event officially began; they were hungry. Some said that there was no more space inside the stadium and it was very hot. Some were more concerned about staying close to their buses and ensuring that the drivers were on standby for quick exit and avoiding the jam on the way home.

But the most grumbled-about issue was their pocket money was only RM30 this time and not the usual RM100 to RM250. The Mak Ciks, Pak Ciks, Ah Peks, Ah Sohs, Nyonyas, Machas and Achis were not happy and they could not be bothered to listen to Najib’s promise to increase the BR1M to RM1,000 and make it into a permanent feature in the BN Manifesto last night.

To them, Najib failed to raise even their pocket money - what more the income of the nation! Najib’s explanations throughout his speech was more on attacking and ridiculing the Opposition but he lacked substance in convincing the people on the BN Manifesto itself.

Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir defended the signing of toll agreements which ...awarded astronomical profits to BN cronies.

He said “the cabinet is not made up of experts. They are made up by politicians and some politicians like myself can be very stupid… They do not really study the implication of some passages in the agreement”. There you go, an honest admission by the man himself. Not just of the fact that we have a Cabinet made up of stupid ministers, but also of ministers who had derelicted their duties to act in the interest of the people. What is worse is the complete lack of remorse in their stupidity and ignorance, or in any sincere efforts to rectify the mistakes which they have made. KUALA LUMPUR: PAS mendakwa sekurang-kurang sembilan perkara dalam manifesto Barisan Nasional (BN) yang dibentangkan Datuk Seri Najib Razak malam tadi menciplak manifesto Pakatan Rakyat.

Setiausaha Agung PAS, Datuk Mustafa Ali dalam sidang medianya hari ini berkata, yang paling ketara adalah janji BN untuk memberikan bayaran tunai lebih 20 peratus kpada negeri pengeluar minyak.

With such mindset, it is hence perfectly legitimate for these “elected” leaders to dish out multi-billion ringgit crony contracts in exchange for political favours. Corruption is endemic in Malaysia. Do you actually want to give your vote to support these BN leaders?

PRU13 : Manifesto BN tidak berani turunkan petrol, hapus tol dan PTPTN

KUALA LUMPUR: PAS percaya rakyat negara ini bijak dan tidak akan mudah terkeliru dengan manifesto BN yang ketara menciplak manifesto Pakatan Rakyat.

Setiausaha Agung PAS, Datuk Mustafa Ali berkata, manifesto Pakatan Rakyat lebih awal dibentangkan dan dari situ rakyat sudah faham dan mengerti apa yang akan dilaksanakan oleh Pakatan selepas diberi mandat nanti.

"Apa yang dibentangkan oleh BN banyak persamaan bukan kebetulan tetapi diceduk dari Pakatan Rakyat. Rakyat sudah tahu dan bijak menilai.

"Selain itu, saya berharap media memainkan peranan dan menjelaskan apa yang sebenarnya kepada rakyat," katanya dalam sidang media di Pusat Media PAS hari ini.

Bagaimanapun, katanya manifesto BN masih tidak mencakupi harapan besar rakyat seperti menurunkan harga petrol, menghapuskan tol dan pemansuhan pinjaman PTPTN.

Katanya, menurunkan harga petrol adalah perkara utama yang ditunggu-tunggu oleh rakyat negara ini kerana ia memberi kredit meluas kepada rakyat malangnya BN tidak berani untuk menjanjikan perkara ini.

Selain itu, BN masih tidak berani untuk menawarkan prinsip asas sebagaimana yang djanjikan oleh Pakatan Rakyat iaitu pentadbiran yang telus, amanah dan berintegriti.

"BN tidak berani pula untuk ciplak janji pentadbiran telus, amanah dan berintegriti. Saya percaya inilah akan jadi kayu pengukur rakyat untuk memilih kerajaan nanti," katanya.
