法官指出，庄寶遭刑事起訴定罪后，曾上訴至樞密院，仍未能推翻原判。陪審團裁定他挪用明輝一億二千七百多万，以供本身購入明輝股份，從而取得明輝控股權，且進行連串的支票、本票交換，以隱瞞挪用款項事件，并蓄意以失實業績報告，欺騙明輝股東和債權人。

庄寶雖然否認有關指控，但法官認為事件中种种証据，均証明庄寶和當時嘉華銀行總經理劉燦賢協議，將一億二千七百多万存入明輝戶口，但即時便會提走。庄寶將明輝和本身私人公司JoinPark的財政混為一体，是明顯違反明輝小股東的利益。庄氏顯然是与人串謀，令名下Join Park及劉燦賢的公司得益，而令明輝利益受損。http://www.epochtimes.com/b5/1/2/28/n52235.htm

This Bill Ch'ng was convicted with a conspiracy to defraud Ming Fai Holdings Ltd, a company listed in HK, of HK$127 million and sentenced to 5 years jail.
